Hi I'm an INFJ. I was wandering if you guys could help me. I found this description on people's intention's towards hurting themselves and can't pinpoint what MBTI this person has by their writing style. My inferior sensing comes out when I look at these sorts of things and I was hoping some of you guys could help me. It's also in my blog so feel free to comment.
Conventional wisdom makes one believe people today inflict physical pain on themselves to get attention and be noticed. I dare to challenge that as an excuse mainstream society uses to dismiss people who are desperately in the need of attention and care. So true, these are people who have endured black holes which have sucked the happiness from their life and replaced it with a remote feeling of nothingness. The infliction of pain varies as do the level of pain garnered from it. Searching into the primitive mind and one can notice a complete reel that often when an individual entails themselves in these careless antics, so often the cry for help is ignored. People nowadays too often are concerned only about themselves, only choosing to associate themselves with others when they can lead them to El Dorado. These people are in need of help yet often so many of us choose to ignore them in the hopes they will cure themselves but it’s not like that. For as long as the heart beats cries of pain, so too does every cut and injury a person suffers. Positioned in a role where they are able to determine the outcome, the fate, the degree of pain which they will suffer, the person inflicting damage often render a sense of self pride that, even though their emotions and life appear to be crumpling before them, the person is the master of their own pain destiny but why so choose such a familiar enemy to the body. Perhaps it relates to the indistinct feeling of one believing there is pleasure in pain; but often there are two oceans of pain, just like there is always more than one way of interpreting something. These people cause harm to themselves in an effort to reinstall a feeling they have achieved something. Emotional insecurity often lies at the centre of matters more so than anything else. As humans we determine if we choose to feel emotional pain, whether we’re happy with where we are in life and whether or not we accept defeat. So often, people let the emotional pain in their lives, pain from past events control their being, in an effort to break the chains of toil which bind their broken soul together, so often the induction of physical pain in an effort to free themselves from the chains is to fix the broken machine. It is important to spot these sorts of people. To make the world a better place we must readily pay attention and take notice of people who possess these qualities and present ourselves with the opportunity to help find a way to melt the chains of confinement and self doubt away.
