Hello from an ISTJ

Hello, I just started here a few days ago. After having lurking this site for about a month before registering, I can honestly say everyone here is extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and unique. Remember that MBTI doesn't define your life, so have fun and welcome. I'm an 18 year old going into college. I shall be studying Russian Language and Literature, and I might double major in history. I predominantly will be on the ISTJ forum, but you may see me around on other sub-fora. I enjoy reading so you can find me on the online-literature forums, although I mostly lurk there. My father was the only one in his family to be born over in America since his side came from Russia. Since I'm 50% Russian I've always been interested in my ethnicity so after much thought I decided to pursue it in college. What is nice is the fact that Russian is a much needed language in intelligence communities and international business. So there is more than simply academia out there even if I study it in graduate school also, but I'm getting ahead of myself now . Really fluency is all that counts in the language, graduate school for most languages is if you want to teach in the academic setting which I'm open to considering.

I have never studied Russian myself, but I have heard many tales of its difficulty from friends who tried studying it. I suppose you'll at least have family to help out. Best of luck to you!
