New INFJ-type person!

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking around these forums for a little while while I've been learning a little more about MBTI and the functions, and now I've gotten the hang of things a little I thought I'd make a profile so I could actually join in. Being an INFJ, I've never really met anyone of my type before (other than my mother) so it's very cool to come here and get the chance to talk with other people with the same personality type! I'm looking forward to talking with everyone regardless of type though as we all have a common interest.

I'm at uni studying a writing degree and am hugely interested in music, psychology, and gender, but I find most things interesting really because I desire to know EVERYTHING EVER. So pretty typical for my type I guess. :D

Sorry, no, hadn't even heard of them Yikes, sure that's a bad thing!

I listen to music a lot but i rarely know who i'm listening to - which is OK but makes conversations about music pretty difficult.

I'll answer by quoting from a recent post I made in this thread What are your reasons for being on PerC?

The kind of thread subjects that come up in the INFJ forum tend to be subjects i'm interested in. More specifically, a lot of people here tend to be interested in most/all of these: science, religion, spirituality, healing & growth, "quest for truth", quest for meaning, introspection, psychology, philosophy, literature, reading, writing. I feel that I can tick all those boxes. I'm not saying that any of those is uniquely INFJ but I have the impression that a combination of most/all of those is more characteristic of INFJs than other types.

No that's cool! Queens of the Stone Age aren't so huge that you would have had to have heard of them. Do you have a particular genre of music you favour or do you like a bit of everything there too? I definitely agree with your quote, that combination of interests sure sounds INFJ to me. All part of our quest to understand ourselves and each other :)

Cool! I'd never met any male INFJs til now. Guess that's what PerC is for though, right? :D
