    Indeed!

Of course, going by some statistics we INFJ males only make up 0.5% of the human population, so it is not too surprising. Although there are some good arguments that many people who are actually INFJ are mistyped.

True. I haven't really heard about INFJs being mistyped before? Is there an article on that that I could read? I only know that my mother is one as well because she took the test... I suspect that I wouldn't be able to tell if I did meet another INFJ, we're pretty good at the whole chameleon thing. Kind of a shame though because it makes it hard to find each other.

Well, I have no specific article at hand at the moment, but because of our talent to camouflage our true selfs and fit in (thanks to Ni-Fe) there are some arguments saying that a few INFJs are mistyped as various other types.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I know that probably only people that know me well would think of me as an 'F', for instance. I'm a Type 5 Enneagram so I think I come off as a 'T' most of the time. Possibly because of that, my closest friends are both NTJs who were surprised to find out how emotional I can be. If you were thinking about how other people see you rather than how you see yourself when you took the MBTI test, I can definitely see an INFJ being mistyped. Have you ever gotten a different result on the MBTI?

Indeed. On simple MBTI tests I actually tended to come out as INTJ. However, not when I am doing cognitive function tests, which tend to give me INFJ and I identify with INFJ profiles the strongest.

However, funny thing, I actually have a thread going in the "What's my personality type?" subforum and the idea was brought forth that I might be an ENTP, which totally came out of left field for me. I still have a hard time believing that. You can check it out if you want.

    Am I really an INFJ/Type 4 ?

Thank you for the link, it was really interesting to read the discussions about what your type might be. The infj 'vibe' is an interesting idea too. I don't know many infjs in 'real life' and am pretty oblivious to what my own 'vibe' would be. I'm about to have a look at the 'Many Faces of INFJ' thread now. I think I might be the academic type too. I wonder if there are different 'vibes' for different 'faces'? ...The answer to every question just leads to more questions! :)
