I use KTC because that's what I was called by my peers around the time when I registered for the site. There were a lot of Katies in my life, so we just cut our names down to KTLastInitial. Aside from me, there was KTT, KTB, KTG, and KTO.
The other Katies have been out of my life for a while now, but whenever I introduce myself I reflexively use KTC.

My username on these forums was REEPER before I changed it to Richard.
Back when I was around 11, I used to play Duke Nukem 3D multiplayer with my little brother. I used the nickname Matrix at the time(before the movie came out), but widdle brother decided that he’d use Matr1x and this put a serious damper on our epic virtual battles.
I wanted to be the bringer of death, so Reaper popped into my head, but it had to be unique. It became Reeper, but it still lacked that certain intangible moron factor so naturally I went for all caps, screaming REEPER so that all would fear my name. Oh, REEPER and Richard both start with R so that was pretty awesome too.
That creative process was severely draining, so much so that I never attempted to come up with another pseudonym and REEPER has stuck with me ever since.

I made up my username last summer, I had a different one, but I needed something that would describe my personality. So, I came up with this one and I really love it.

It's a contraction of Ordinary Deviant, the username I made up for myself as a teenager. With time I started thinking that it's kinda meh, though, but couldn't think of anything else I liked, so just contracted the one I had into something meaningless and unpronounceable. At least it's faster to write.
