By the title of this thread, I gather others do this then.
And by my answer, you gather that I do.
Why, such foolishness.
In the beginning yes, when the ratio gets really off very easily. 10 posts 1 thanks are not a nice ratio.
Now it's more per-post basis. I get "happy" when some posts get thanked when I feel really satisfied with them, and other almost reversed. For example, I wrote a short witty comment a few weeks ago that's now up to 50 thanks, I enjoyed thanks rolling in in the beginning, but after a while when I wrote new comments with substance that I was really satisfied with and see "5 new thanks", clicking it, and all of them are for the witty comment and none for the deep ones, I'm thinking "Dammit! Thank my other post instead!"
So I like thanks, but the total thanks are a little overrated (I probably wont think so if I get close to 1:1 though).
