I know there is probably a generalized thread that touches on this subject, but I'm seeking specific knowledge. Where better to find something specific and knowledgeable than in the brains of my fellow INTP's?

I've searched for the answer, and I'm unable to come up with much of anything without paying $19.95, so I thought I'd ask here, and just maybe, someone who is well versed in the matter, could help me out.

I've dabbled in Astrology before, and while it is fun to think about, it's not something that I take too seriously. I hold MBTI with a much higher regard, respectively. But what started this entire thing, and got me to wondering, is my Mother. She is an Astrology nut, and thinks it's a Bible of sorts. I'm wanting to merge her idea, with mine.

Anyways, I'm curious if the personality traits of Astrology, could vary when MBTI is considered on the pupil. I'll use myself as an example below.

I am a Leo, born on July 29th, 1985/INTP. Leo's are known for being gracious social butterflies, which I am not at all. Another trait that Leo's are known for, is their fierce loyalty, and having a "heart of gold". This is something that I identify with 100%. So I'm just trying to piece together in a sense, or "over-lap" if you will, these two personality theories, and see how they may impact one another.

Another example, which cracks me up, is my ESTP boyfriend. He is a Pisces, born February 20th, 1985. ESTP's aren't exactly known for being super emotional, however Pisceans are, and he is just that, an emotional rollercoaster. The two contradict. We both contradict with our Astrological sign.

But anyways, I was just wondering if there is someone out there who could shed some light on this, and merge the two in a fashion that makes sense.

What impact would being INTP have on a Leo? Two very different personalities. And the same for an ESTP Pisces?

Astrology doesn't work for me. I'm a Capricorn. Doesn't reflect who I am in almost any way. Even where it lines up with the typical INTP I diverge from it as an individual. I do have a kind of joking desire to be an aristocrat (love pretending at fancy, pretentious places and dressing up classy) and am into family history, but that's as far as it goes.

I do think astrology is a lot of fun though, no question; I just can't bring myself to believe in it because it doesn't match me at all. But I can definitely see the appeal.

I am an INTP Leo. I am generous, protective, fiery, determined, stubborn, loyal (to a certain extent) and I hate being ignored.
I am not a social butterfly by any means, but sometimes I wish I were. And I think that is something a lot of INTPs want... to be more extroverted. Not like party every night extroverted, but to have more friends to care about us.

I'm not exactly sure how to elaborate on this, but I love astrology and I know a lot about being a Leo. I just happen to be sitting in a hotel room right now and I'm kind of worn out, so I'm not very helpful right now.
