I am just learning about my personality type and have started reading alot about it and researching it online. It's an taking over my life. haha
I am an INTP but sometime I fall into the INTJ catagory as well. I still have a hard time deciding.
So this brings me to my question for all of you who have more experience with the INTP personality type...
Is it "normal behavior" for an INTP to become obbssive about new ideas and learning opportunities?? I become extremly focused on an idea and then I can not stop my thinking in regards to that area. I will forget to eat, sleep, just take care of basic needs because I am so interested in what I'm doing. Other areas of my life will be neglected.
This obbession will usually not last too long but while I am in it it is very intense. It is hard to focus my attention on anything else until I feel that I am knowledgeable on the subjct. But then it usually isn't long until something else will peek my intrested and then the pattern will repeat itself.
I might also add that I am much happier while in an obsessive state. When I am in between I take on symtoms of depression.
Another question I have is this. Is it obssisve behavior more of an INTP trait or INTJ?
