For me I seem to always get told
That I'm shy or quiet. Or other times I could get friendly, talkative, nice.

It really depends who the person is I think its usually extroverts that see me as the quiet shy type. And other introverts see me as friendly talkative. I'm usually more wary of extroverts as they seem to always judge me.Or I feel less confident

I'm probably going to seem like a total idiot, but I have no idea how to delete this post. I've clicked "edit" and stared at the screen about four times now and I see nothing that resembles a delete button. So here it is. Pardon my stupidity. -facedesk-

The feedback I've gotten is I'm self-confident, with my act together. Which I find hilarious in its inaccuracy. I also get that I'm a straight shooter. Both seem to intimidate others.

People usually call me crazy, weird, weird-o, intelligent, deep, thoughtful, strange, imaginative, odd, creative, enigmatic, and peculiar. "Weird" and "crazy" are most often used to describe me, while I am called a "genius" or "intelligent" every so often. People say these words in front of me, so I can only imagine what they say behind me. The nickname a few friends call me is "Dreamer," which began because a middle-aged Filipino woman noticed that I seem aloof and daydreaming and called me that name. It's not used with negative connotations.

I'd rather not be complimented or insulted, but instead, left alone. However, over the years, I have become indifferent to labels such as weird; it's similar to when a person repeats one word over and over and that word begins to lose meaning.

I don't know what their first impressions are, but I've been called quiet, intelligent, calm, different, mysterious, anti-social, crazy, funny, creative, nice, generous, and others. Different people have different perceptions of me. I'm rarely called weird. I get called different a lot (especially "different from other girls"), but not weird. I've also been called both shy and assertive. Shy people think I'm assertive, and loud people think I'm shy (I'm not shy. Why do people think shyness is the preference of reading a book over having small talk with whoever's next to you?).

People also seem to be amazed that I never panic or get angry. I don't really panic over things I can't change (pointless), but I do get angry. I guess it's not obvious unless I'm ranting (which I actually do a lot).

My mom says I remind her of The Thinker statue by Auguste Rodin. People like to ask me what I'm thinking about.

I've found that, for some reason, adults always seemed to gravitate toward me as intelligent, level-headed, and dependable even when I didn't do anything special to merit those labels. It was always weird to find myself in a "confidant" position with teachers and camp counselors when I didn't even seek out their confidence. xD

Otherwise, it depends on the situation. Someone who meets me by chance in a social situation might see a very quiet, very shy person, but the few who meet me when I've already established myself in a leadership position form a rather different idea (loud, brash, charismatic, etc).

Often told that I am highly intelligent, confident, funny, honest, a nerd (good connotation typically), or just a quiet and reserved person.

Sometimes I've been told that the first impression people got of me, before they actually talked with me, was that I was intimidating with my intelligence and seemed to be a pompous ass. This is usually changed into one of the above once they chat with me, which I usually initiate.

I've often been cast as inexpressive, logical, and distant, with no regard for social conventions. Occasionally I come across as eager and excitable to teachers, and for students, I'm usually condescending and knowledgeable.

Apparently I come across as shy and unlikeable when people first meet me. People also usually think that I despise them when we first meet; all my current best friends thought I hated them at first.

I get different responses almost every time. It depends on my mood or how I wish to be seen by whatever person or group I guess. Sometimes I feel like being reserved and sometimes (more rarely) I feel socially aggressive. It depends on how I perceive my audience. If I like them, then I am more aggressive. If I don't like them as much or I am keeping my opinion open, then I am reserved. I would say ppl's first impression of me in one word = wrong.
