Welcome new INTP friend. You were an adorable child and I am glad your smile (what seems to at least be genuine) lingered throughout your life ;u; I feel you will find every other INTP as a close friend and ally.

    ^ agreed, very pretty!

And thanks. I do consider myself a happy person overall.. although I had some rough times in the pre-teen, early teen years. As for some background...

I've lurked several mbti forums for the last 6 months or so (mostly here lately). In typical INTP fashion I have, of course, spent countless hours reading and digesting the different cognitive functions and their roles. I have long been developing my Ne/Fe (an effort on my part to be more "outside" my head long before I knew much about MBTI or Jungian theory), and MBTI has been an amazing way for me to organize and clarify the knowledge I've gathered through years of a much more general effort to be extroverted/understand people/fit in. I think it would be accurate to say I now have much more internal data to direct my Ne/Fe and find myself happier the more I delve into them and learn how to communicate with all different types and broaden my perspective/understanding on people. (further strengthening Ti/Si in the process yay!) It's been a lot of fun helping friends type themselves as well as a great little internal game I can play when I meet people that still keeps my focus on them. (much easier to cover up any space-case sessions that might pop up when talking to people about the less interesting aspects of life.)

I am super tired so I apologize for any poor grammar/wording but I'm hoping my less refined ramblings will be made to feel more at home here;P

I've always been into psychology since childhood and I agree it does help you understand yourself and organize the way you are in a fashion you can understand. (you in a general term) It's really just a relief to find out your actually normal in this dominantly SJ world. Which is something that bothered me for a long time.

Also, don't worry too much about your grammar. Care about it, but don't feel like you constantly have to be on your toes in the presence of other INTPs. We're all intelligent and like to see competency, but we also understand that not everyone has the same skills in the same area. I mean, look at me, I'm in no way, shape, or form grammatically correct. WE ALL KNOW DEEP DOWN INSIDE WERE THE SMARTEST ONES OUT THERE. On top of that, we all know deep down inside how hard it can be to organize our thoughts and put them on paper for everyone else to understand.

This is already on the INFP forum because I made my first few posts there, but I'll stick it here too.
