Okay, I know it's not "cool" to smoke, or whatever, but since I quit smoking I feel less badass. Also being a hyperactive perfectionist cheerful nerd doesn't help.

I like to have at least one or two negative traits that are off putting to insufferable people.

I was contemplating quitting myself today. I ate healthy and lifted for the first time in forever today. I hadn't smoked the entire day which is abnormal for me, but after I worked out, I couldn't help it. I had to make a cig stop and get my parliaments. I just don't think I could quit all the way. Especially in social situations, cigarettes always gives me an excuse to go off into the corner and take a little break.

Dirty smoking bastards, if it weren’t for you there’d be no global warming.

I think I must have had a mini stroke recently, I’m seeing words all the time that I don’t recognise or think are misspelt only to realise shortly afterwards that they’re perfectly normal and well formed.
Wai brain go bai bai ?

When an INTJ starts venting and raging about something, I can't help but be amused...to the point of chuckling to myself. I find it pretty funny, particularly how they're so damn serious about whatever the issue is. Or perhaps it's because I have a crush on one.

I'd just stand back and watch with folded arms. No wonder they prefer ENFxs.

Yeah, I used to try the whole exercise while smoking thing but I always lost motivation quickly. After about 2-3 weeks of not smoking, my energy levels are so ridiculous I basically have to work out to burn off the excess energy. This morning I woke up at 5 a.m. after falling asleep around 1.

Fortunately, I've been really busy lately and haven't had time to do much socializing, but I too, fear not being able to get away.

I'm not going to tell you to quit though, I find those kinds of people obnoxious.

Not sure what the rates are in France, but in the U.S., for every pack of cigarettes, smokers cause about $0.38 external damage, which is measured in lost productivity, environmental damage, etc. Federal cigarette tax rates are $1.01 and on average states tax cigarettes at $1.47, (Virginia is lowest at $0.30 and New York is highest at $4.25.) which means that smokers more than pay for the environmental damage caused by smoking.

Now, if you were to make an argument for increased health care costs... Internal + external costs are estimated at $2.53 per pack, which is higher than the average tax rates but not by much (fed + state average = $2.47) and that gets significantly more complex because smokers die 13-14 years earlier on average (less environmental damage/consumption, but also less productivity, higher health care costs at the end of life, etc....) and that early death is generally difficult to measure as a pro or con. Depends on whether you're one of those "glass half empty" people or whatever.

Anyway, this has been your random smoking factoid for the day. You can use it to make arguments for or against smoking, whichever side you feel like debating at the moment.

Edited to add: When I was in California, 50 cents of every pack of cigarettes goes to a program called "First 5" which focuses on all kinds of developmental, educational, nutritional, and other supportive services for families with children 5 and under, so that by time they start kindergarten, they're healthy and ready to learn. My chain smoking buddy & I used to joke (because we worked for the program) that we were just "supporting the kids."

I don’t know exactly what reddit and tumblr are, amongst other things. Never really bothered to check.

Whippersnappers today with their dodads and thingamajigs.

Tumblr is where original thought goes to die.

I love it. It's like the antisocial network, you get to know people, but not too much. It's sort of like stumbleupon with a more social dynamic. At least that's what I use it for. And to kind of get to know people from this site better (I follow two INTPs, an ISFP, and an INTJ from perc, you find out things like that Audrey's into black and white artistic erotica)

What's annoying is that it's full of emo teenagers. I'm like 45 in tumblr years.

Wasabi, hot sauce, peppers, chili oil, sriracha.. anything hot, unless its so high on the Scoville scale that its inedible. Sometimes I will eat dabs of the leftover wasabi just to get that wasabi rush. It doesn't linger like hot sauce, and it feels like a good release.
