    INTPs - Masculine or Feminine?

INTPs - do you feel mostly masculine, feminine, neither or both? Do you think you are typical of someone of your biological sex?

    Vote -

Masculine if you consider yourself masculine.
Feminine if you consider yourself feminine.
Neither if you feel neither masculine or feminine ("genderless")
Both if you feel both masculine and feminine or a mixture of ("androgynous")

    The poll is private.

    neither or both.
never really identified myself as masculine or feminine. didn't really think it was necessary.
    I act like I act.

    Yay! An INTP poll!

I selected 'masculine INTP female'. Ideally, I would be neither or androgynous - segregation by gender roles be damned - but the truth of the matter is that I identify more with conventionally 'masculine' traits. For example, I am forceful of character and mannerisms (my introversion and desire for harmony prompts me to exercise a lot of restraint, however), unemotional, unsubtle and straightforward. I may exhibit a less forceful 'feminine' persona in the presence of those whom I innately recognize to be more masculine (as to avoid conflict), but otherwise that is my default personality. Also, when I am in a playful mood, I would typically regress to a child-like state, which may or may not be construed as 'feminine'.

Relationship-wise, I prefer to play the role of 'protector' and 'benefactor'; I also prefer to pursue rather than be pursued, and be the pillar of security and stability for my gentler, more sensitive (hopefully INFx) mate.

To my extreme annoyance, my inherent masculinity perturbs my Sensor-dominated family, who make it their business to constantly urge me to act more feminine - or fail in the attract-a-man department. Pffft.

Somewhere in the middle.. More masculine than feminine, but not overtly so!

I'm sort of like this as well.

I put both because I have traits that are stereotypically associated with both sexes.

I would identify myself as both or neither, as I never really bothered to act according to gender stereotypes, but I usually lean towards one side or another from time to time -- ah, hormones.

I've never been as girly as the ordinary girl, in fact I was a tomboy when I was in primary school; however as the years have gone by I'm finding myself becoming more and more girly. I still think more similarly to males but appearance and habits-wise I am very much a girl.

I chose both. I used to think I was more masculine than feminine, but currently I find that I'm a pretty even split between both genders.

INTP Male. Neither. I am neither a man or a woman; I am me.
