I have been always wondering why some very intelligent people prefer listening to relatively boring / monotone music. Maybe that is because there are many different kinds of intelligence. Being very good in terms of logical-mathematical intelligence (for example)) does not necessarily mean that the person is able to cope with and enjoy complex music, although there is probably some correlation.
F yeah prog rock!
Though I like classic rock too, it kind of falls into the same category sometimes.
Other - I listen exclusively to Wrock. (Wizard rock, you know.)
On a serious note, I listen to a wide variety of music. I listen mostly to rock and variations of it, but I have a grand collection of classical as well.
(Seriously, though, wrock is great.)
I see someone said they like punk. Well, I think I speak for all proggers in this thread when I say, WE WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KILL YOU, MOTHERFUCKER.
Oi! You forgot to put Death Metal up there!
I can't stand the weaker forms like rock, metal, or heavy metal.
