So, if you look to the left here, you'll see that I'm an ENFP. My brother is an INTP, my mom is an ISFJ, and I'm pretty sure my dad is an ESTJ, so as you can see, I'm sort of like a fly in the milk. But, that's not the point. I have a question about my brother. He always seems so uptight and stuck in his rut of BORING. How do I make him laugh? Other ways than being my goofy, stupid self, please! Thank you!

He probably finds your attempts at entertainment annoying.

But, if you want to enjoy your time with him, try doing things with him that he enjoys, like playing video games, or chess, or whatever his interests happen to be. If he likes reading, try reading to him. That might be funny. :P

Well, he's not going ANYWHERE near my luscious mane, so I suppose he could throw stuff at me. Actually, come to think of it, he does that a lot.

I'm thinking back to when I was his age which was a looong time ago.

What made me excited was getting out of the house, going over a friend's house, and not coming back home all weekend.

And ice cream sundaes....(which still make me excited).

If he is really an INTP, at that age, I remember having "projects" i would spend my time on, like tinkering with R/C cars or making plans for something but never doing it. So maybe ask him what he does in his free time first, and then see if you can spark his interest through that.

yeah stuff that tickles our brain will make us laugh uncontrollably. where areas if somethings are funny in general, even for him, but its probably not enough to make hims smile like a dork or something. We have this weird poker face :| but laugh inside our brains xD;;

sometime my siblings will get mad at me for not laughing at their joke just because I only let out one simple "heh" laugh. /_\ they took offense to it and said I have no sense of humor. Really the joke is funny, but honestly its not necessary to give full burst of laughter to consider funny.

I like witty comments/ witty sarcasm. Mainly the witty comments.

making an intp laugh is not easy but not that hard either... be sure to carry a frying pan with you everywhere he goes... when he says something that is random or make absolutely no sense, bang the pan....

and voila... you'll be promoting dead pan humor on behalf of your brother. the more blank stares you get from the people around you, the higher the probability you will emit a smirk or a chuckle from him due to the stupidousness that ensues.

the question becomes: Are YOU willin to carry a frying pan everywhere he goes? because THAT... takes dedication.

Anyways, ususally the two Ne's just go wild so I generally have a lot of fun with my sister. We're partners in crime.

Just go do kid stuff. I was doing kid stuff until well...I was like 19 or 20. Ask him to think of a game for you guys to play outside. Or trade Pokemon cards, idk what you guys do these days. Don't try to make him do his projects with you though, that'll just make him more annoyed.
