Label it all you want, for me it's really about the dynamic of that specific relationship.
I'm sorry but I just can't generalize it all into types.
I tend to want to look further than that or else for me it becomes useless.
To quote an INTP, maybe MBTI isn't the best to figure out relationships, it's possible it just may be better for carreers and such.

It helps. It helps avoid disasters. An INTP should never ever match an ISFP. Warning!
Do I need to call in the waaaaaahbulance? I get along alright with ESFJ's as long as their preferences are moderate. Typically, it's the more balanced ones that I get along with. I still totally disagree with eneagram compatability: your best match is any mature example of any type. That's B.S. And female INTP from the UK, I only know one other INTP, and she's an unstable bitch.
I agree with certain things and disagree with others. I think MB types are not intended as a relationship filter, and in some cases even handbook matches fail.
But in a way I can see how in most cases the NP (need for constant change, originality and disregard for social convention) would clash with an SJ (the guardians of traditions and rules)
Or how an INTP so removed from the concrete could have a blast exploring the world of a ESFP and viceversa but it will only last as long as the INTP can go without abstract discussions
Or the way in which an ISFP and a INTP are mutual enigmas and would never figure each other out.
Broad things like these might apply to an extent, but there is always the margin, and arent we all in some sort of margin when it comes to mb types?
INTP totally zoning a ENTJ out>>> Damn those INTPs
I like how his t shirt makes him seem more of an intp rofl
