Is the glass half empty? Or half full?
| | |
This is a discussion on INTJ answer to the half empty, half full question within the INTJ Forum - The Scientists forums, part of the NT's Temperament Forum- The Intellects category; Is the glass half empty? Or half full?...
Is the glass half empty? Or half full?
since no INTJs have answered already:
the glass is always full, air is also fluid and fills half of the glass
so the glass is full, just not with only water or some other single fluid
you could have a glass half full of water in a vacuum environment, in which case it is both half full and half empty
was this answer what you expected?![]()
Just about.
I like to say that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be, or that it has a safety factor of two. NT humor.
the glass contains 50% volume that it needn't.
mmm. I like it.

Wonderful. Exept you forgot the Engineers.
The glass is solely designed to contain liquid, and if need be, measure the amount.
50% liquid?
The glass is half full![]()
Of course it's all relative, but what about the situational aspects, guys? If someone had taken a drink from the glass, would it then be half empty? If someone had just filled it, would it be half full?
But, we all know the true answer: Glass ain't gonna refill itself, Turran...

In a practical situation (not solely theoretical, where a flawlessly balanced hypothesis is possible), I would refuse to accept that it is precisely 50/50. So, the answer would be dependent on whether it is below or above the perfect 50 mark.
