I have a life purpose, a personal life vision, 50, 25, 10, 5, and 1 year goals written out. The life purpose hasn't changed since I was about 10 years old but my vision for my life has which of course changed my goals. I have been steady with my life vision since 2000 but moderately effective with my goal achievement. It seems to take me twice as long to achieve my goals than I plan for but as long as I achieve them it doesn't really matter.

That's exactly what happened and happens with me. Not wanting to dig too much in your life, a double choice question: Do you know what's the cause for that vision or do you simply have it ever since you remember?

You can dig. My life purpose is ascension. As soon as I heard the story of Elijah and Enoch I knew that was what I wanted but my vision started out being a hermit and spending my days in meditation and study somewhere remote. In 2000 I gave away everything I owned and did the hermit thing. Previously I had spent weeks alone in the woods every year since my 20's meditating but this time was different. I discovered I wanted a family and I hated being uncomfortable. My vision changed in 2000 from achieving my life purpose by being a hermit to one of being a financial success by teaching Tai Chi and Meditation. I now have a clear vision of my house, car, wife, kids and career.

In my mind: Purpose is your mission in life. Vision is the general path to get there. Goals are the means to make your vision come about. Action steps are what makes you achieve your goals.

    Does that answer your question?

Yes it does, that sort of explanation was very kind. Thank you.

By inference I might have a purpose, but I would say I have a sense of purpose. As others have said my plans shift and change, but I have noticed a commonality in why they do so. I have noticed that I am aiming at something without being entirely sure what it is that aims me.
Do I have a purpose? that is for those who live beyond me to decide. Do I endeavor to move with purpose? always.

Not all those who wander are lost.

    Free from what?
I love that question, the best answer I've come up with is that we can make mistakes. By making mistakes we can see flaws, within those flaws we can refine our skills, we are able to examine our behaviour and attempt to change it. Whether we are good at it or not, the ability to behave contrary to your instincts and what you know, is what brings us closest to freedom. It is what allows us to fail to be a straight line.

My life's purpose that I would like to achive is to become the next matriarch in my family like my great-great aunt INFJ before me. I am trying to have a relationship with God, become family oriented and have an education unlike my aunt who did not have the chance.

My purpose in life is to live, live happily, live long, possibly prosper.

    My goals reflect that.

Now I just have to work up the motivation to actually get started on that instead of waiting for a better time.

Excuse my sentimentality, but that's beautiful. We must all rise to the true purpose in our life.
