Finding out stuff you've newer know about your skills..

Today I wen't to my University to work on my thesis, after working a bit and printing some drafts I suddenly thought I should go to the universities atrium and just try to play the piano which is located there. At this point I have no idea how to play the piano [I know how to play the guitar, but never really gotten in the music theory]. So I went, there wasn't a lot people around so while trying to come up with some playing, pushing the keys as softly as possible, so nobody would hear how awfully I play, I actually suddenly got it. Continued, continued my basic improvisation and in a matter of one hour I realized I can easily play the piano.

Some people even came and complimented how good I am playing.

This was a huge surprise for me. Now I can say: "I play guitar and the piano."

Has anything like this happened to any of you dear fellow INTJ's? When you suddenly realize that you have a skill you did not know about before.

Actually I just remembered other cases from life with the same way of acquiring new skills. They are: programming and unicycle riding.

Is it for the spelling mistake in the title? Or any other spelling mistake?

The same thing happened with me once. I had been playing guitar for two years before I learned where the C was on a piano. From there on, I could improvise just about anything. However, I'm not so patient in learning piano, mostly because I'm so used to how easy it is to learn guitar.

I'm pretty good with wordplay. It's not too hard.

Programming was pretty easy to learn, but I got really bored with it. I've forgotten most of it, but I have notes if I need to go back and learn any of it.

Something that I take for granted is that I'm very good with mental math. That makes explaining math to other people frustrating, and it's the reason brilliant mathematicians (not to overextend my own worth) are often terrible math teachers.

    Just plain simple envy :)

I apologise for any offence caused, should have put a /envy tag. It's great to pick something musical up so quick, some of us have to slog at it :) I bet you get the girls easily too ;)
