    Domino riddle

My fellow Scientist's i have an interesting riddle for you guys:

Lets say I'm playing domino, and order the pieces (randomly) like this:

    x o o o o o x
    o o o o o o o
    o o o o o o o
    x o o o o o x

what's the chance for me to pick a double out of the corners?

    hope you like it

    I don't understand the question.

=| Aren't dominos those things you knock over to create a pattern? I believe you'd have to angle your Xs to get them to knock over all the Os

The chances of me picking up doubles are 100%. I'd run up, kick the dominoes over then pick up a double and say it was from the corner.

Sorry I still don't understand the question.

    These are dominoes?:

    Yes, Zulban, those are dominoes.

I'm guessing the question is what the chance is that any two adjacent corners have the same numbers on them. For example, what is the chance that the top two corners have the same numbers?

I knew those were dominoes. I was just hoping Marco was mistaken on what dominoes were, since the puzzle makes (and still makes) no sense to me. I don't see how to fit dominoes into a grid of x's and o's, or even what he's asking. I'm really just very confused here :P

I'm very good at calculating probability so it might be worthwhile explaining this to me.

Yes but there's also an actual game you play with them that is their actual purpose.

I was unaware of that. Does this relate to the riddle?

    LOL
    ok guys, i'm developing further...

Dominoes are those pieces to play with such as those Zulban posted in the picture.

as you can all see in the picture, pieces are divided in half each of them representing numbers from 0 to 6.

these means there are a total of 28 pieces
    [0 |0] [0 |1] [0 |2] ...[0 |6]
    [1 |1] [1 |2] ...[1 |6]
    [2 |2] [2 |3] ...[2 |6]
    .
    .
    .
    [6 |6]

OK, so Doubles are those pieces with the exact same number on both of the halves of each piece for example [3|3]

Now lets say i turn all pieces upside down so i can't see what piece lies where, and then randomly shuffle them.

    Then i take all pieces and form them (upside down) in 4 rows and 7 columns;

the x's represent the pieces liing on the edges of the "rectangle" formed and the o's repressent the rest of the pieces:

    x o o o o o x
    o o o o o o o
    o o o o o o o
    x o o o o o x

Now the question, i would pick up all four edges (the x's) with the hope that i would get a minimum of one double (i.e [6 |6]). The question is, what is my real chance of picking up one of these doubles out of the four corners. Remember the requisite is for me to pick a minimum of one double; it doesn't matter if there are more doubles in the edges i just need to pick up one.
