    5 Stages of INTJ annoyance

My theory on how INTJs deal with someone who annoys them and won't go away. I did my research by reading the fionafiona threads.

    1st stage: polite, but brief.
    2nd stage: avoidance
    3rd stage: sacrcasm
4th stage: flight, pleas to be left alone, and more sarcasm
5th stage: attack mode. Acceptance that destroying the annoyance is the only solution.

Thankfully avoidance usually gets the job done for me, and I don't usually have to descend into the 3rd stage or beyond. Essentially, it's even difficult to get me to the second stage, as I try extremely hard to remain in the first for as long as possible. If they haven't got the hint within a few days, stage two. If I get the feeling that they are purposely trying to piss me off, I pretty much just automatically go to stage 4 and 5.

I find myself in the 3rd stage quite often. Also, great observation.

I don't know if it is more of a slider scale than stages, as there's a lot of cross influence between the modes.
And of course then there's the INTJ annoyance "limit break" Which basically burns down to focusing full energy and effort off your main focus, into making sure the annoying person will never have time, resources or perhaps even the capacity to return to annoy them. This mode sets in the moment INTJ realizes the annoying person will persist and will do so in long term hindrances and even possible sabotage of the INTJ's goals. So their long term obliteration is necessary.

This is dead on and the story of my life. For some reason people, usually family push me into 5th mode and that's when I have to go off. Leave me alone!! But for people not so close to me they usually get it after bask to back sarcasm and a little coldness.

You are clearly well acquainted with stage 5 - attack mode. Sometimes it's the only way.

Not for me, after getting annoyed so easily and so often by almost all people around me I realized I was causing my self a lot of misery. Avoiding these people wasn't an option back then. So I learned to cope with it in such way that pretty much nothing can annoy me ever again.

Annoyances is you annoying yourself with another ones behaviour, completely irrational to cause yourself misery because of a little thing someone else is doing, much easier to just change your mind using willpower. This can be very hard but it gets easier.

Get over yourself, save yourself and others mental trouble.

This seems to be quite representative of the way I deal.

I've been in attack mode. Perhaps just a little beyond. I never want to go back there ever again.
