Have any INTJs had experience dating a fellow INTJ? How did it go? Did it suck? Was it awesome? Was it mediocre?

And, no, I don't want to hear about your hot sister...unless she lives near me or you have hot pictures to post.

Sadly, out of all the possible answers 'Ron Paul' is the closest fit for me.

The options of this thread made me cackle.

I voted Iron Man. I don't really want to date. I would consider a relationship with one as I would with any other type...they would probably understand my reasoning of not wanting to live with them a whole lot better too. The closest I'll get to that again is a duplex or completely separate living and amenities areas. Never again in the same house....oh no.

There would be a few aspects that I would find irreplaceable, such as absolutely amazing conversations. The biggest problem with it though is that I doubt either party would sufficiently express their love for each other. Or at best find it difficult.

I agree. Two INTJ's would hardly be able to express their love for each other, unless it is under a completely logical and scientific basis.

On a slight side note, I crunched some numbers last night whilst I was bored. These are just estimates but, in New Zealand, we have 4.5 million citizens. Of those 100,000 live in the Nelson region. Say there is a 44 - 56 ration of males to females. This means there are 56,000 females. Of those, 0.5% are INTJ's. The number of INTJ females in the Nelson region is just 280. Amazing what math can do.

I think playing the stereotype of (lack of) love expression would not really be a factor if two INTJs got together. My INTJ friend and I express affection for each other just fine. My ISTJ stepfather express affection just fine too. There is also the factor that we just "know" how we feel about each other too. There is a huge amount of empathy and respect.

That is true we can display affection. I was trying to mean when two INTJ's of opposite sex meet for the first time, how would they get to know each other? Simple answer. By talking with each other on mutually agreed topics, provided both are willing to do this. As time would go on, affections by display but both INTJ's would use reasoning behind that to form an even deeper relationship.

That should be cleared up now.

You'd be surprised how expressive two INTJs can be. I remember my INTJ uni buddy saying that when he heard me pipe up with a self depreciative joke about being a maths retard he said. I have to be friends with this one she seems more real than the others. Just knowing someone is on your level can give a huge amount of relief. It's spoken (with humour) rather than gushed.

I would be rather surprised. I have never had a relationship with another INTJ before. The numbers in my town just do not support it. What relationship formed out of it?
