    "I'm an INTJ and -------"

I wasn't sure if there were other threads like this hanging around or not.

I was thinking about how we often compare our traits with the basic INTJ model and description as well as comparing against others who tested INTJ. Certainly people find many similarities, but what about those traits that may have been mentioned, but don't fit you personally? I'm also including stereotypes in the lot, that is, traits people attribute to INTJs which are not officially mentioned in MBTI.

Lets post things that we do or like that don't fit with the generic model or stereotype of the aloof "Intellectual Scientist Mastermind". I'm interested to see what you come up with and wonder if there are any similarities among the differences too. Feel free to be more specific or add in explanations of why you like/dislike something or your thoughts on the difference. Other types are welcome to post as well.

    Examples:
I'm an INTJ and I've cried when seeing an ASPCA commercials
I'm an INTJ and I love puppies and kittens
I'm and INTJ and Quantum Physics and String Theory are only my second favorite subjects of study. My true favorite pastime is knitting wool sweaters in embarrassing patterns which I then guilt unassuming relatives into wearing.

I'm an INTJ and I like mudkips. I think they are really adorable.

There's not much Absolutely "off the model" about me except:

I am an INTJ and after being exposed to new My little pony episodes I got hooked.

I swear that show is rainbow coloured crack.

I see My Little Pony everywhere. I thought it was just a small minority of fans, but it seems to be growing. I thought "What could possibly be entertaining about it?"

I've avoided seeing episodes thus far but.... I'm so curious.

I was always more of a Swampert fan myself.

Well I figured there's no logical reason to judge a show I haven't seen and watched it worth of 3 episodes, in that time it convinced me with it content and proved to be both cute and entertaining yet not patronizing.
Don't avoid it just because it is "the shit". That's conforming to nonconformity.

I'm not very good at chess. I think it's more of a motivation thing though, rather than having the wrong type of head for it. I am good at word, number, and mechanical puzzles though.

I am a "Perceiving INTJ" of sorts and have a well-developed Introverted Thinking function, both of which have been known to throw the whole typing process off.

    Unknown Personality

I'm an INTJ, and I'm interested in ancient occult systems like alchemy, hermeticism, and egyptian mysticism.

I'm not sure if that's actually unusual, but I assume it would be since there's not much objectivity to it.

It's just an academic interest, I mainly use it to mine for inspirations. I don't practice it or anything, although I considered it once.

I'm actually not that productive these days.

I'm rather messy, my room is only cleaned on rare occasions, and at that point I may as well use a mining pick.

I smile and laugh a lot more than INTJ's are given credit for. Usually, it's an acquired act to fit in - but the point stands.

I'm not confident all the time. I sometimes second-guess myself, even though I'm the most brilliant person in a room.

Apart from this, I'm your textbook INTJ. I think I'm just damaged.

If Sanskrit got hooked, there is no future for any of us. Humanity is doomed.
