Okee. I think I have my answer. I know how you INTJs hate to repeat yourselves ^_^ My initial impression was correct.

    1. Disregarding your opinion without a valid argument is a pet peeve.
    Therefore...
    A. If your interest in me and my own opinion is minimal, rejecting yours out of hand is a sure way to get brushed off and otherwise put into the big mental box marked "IGNORE"

    B. If my opinion does matter, because somehow I've managed to wriggle my way into the inner sanctum of your close friends, this phrase should get a confused, somewhat indignant response. Obviously, if I'm a close friend, I have value to you...yet defiance is unacceptable.

    Is this accurate?

I can play around defiantly............however in a conversation for the most part to have hit a brick wall with something like that doesnt make the person on the other end look very........... conversation worthy.

If an INTJ takes time to discuss a subject with you, just the fact that they are spending their time talking to you means something (at least for me).
I am indifferent to people if I am not interested. It isnt that I mean to brush them off....I just dont see my time with them as a valuable way to spend it. It is kind of like I have blinders on unless you spark my interest. I equally feel I cannot contribute to you if you cannot contribute to me.
Once you have my interest though, if you can hold it........it pretty much means I will see you beyond the blinders until something might prove it different.

I have always had issues with people thinking I am stuck up..........I am not, not in the least. I just find 'fluff' makes my brain bleed....it is like torture. Just being honest.....
    I hope that helps.

    Yes, that did help. ^_^

I like honest. NFs can talk around feelings for hours trying not to offend anyone, but sometimes a good, blunt NT kick in the butt is what you really need. I like the INTJ perspective on alot of things...it tends to cut through alot of the BS I get distracted by while trying to get to the heart of a matter.

I was mainly curious because it's one of those provocation buttons with my INTJ friend....kind of like calling him "Buddy" makes his eye twitch...but another INTJ -glances at knght990- didn't seem to be bothered by it. I discovered after I posted this that it was his way of avoiding my defiance by pretending it wasn't an issue so I'd forget about it. :P Sneaky, sneaky INTJs....

I can overanalyze if I want to. O.o I have more energy than you to do so.

ROFL! Isn't that cute? You can't defy the essence of illogical logic wrapped up in an overexuberant package of squishy, loving enthusiasm that can perceive the deepest, most hidden essence of your psyche to discern the emotions you'd just as soon pretend had no say in your decisions. >.> I always win. It's not a fact, but a challenge. ...and I don't think you're up to it. :P

My response would be something like:

    "WTF WHY!? You're an idiot!"

    *reassesses the reasoning*

It depends on the idea I'm communicating, but that's basically it.
