I'm screencapping this and keeping it in my Fuzzywarm folder. First I have to make a Fuzzywarm folder...

I love you INTJ because we always get the same conclusion when reading people and situations ^_^

No you don't understand. I want to be hugged. I don't know how tell you I enjoyed the hug.

(at least if you're a friend and not some overly affectionate weirdo)

I do love INTJs. It's very frustrating.

Sometimes it takes a lot of patience. People say INFJs are slow to open up. Pfft. It's like INTJs convince themselves that any of their thoughts related to feeling are stupid, and refuse to voice them. You just have to stick around them and convince them of your competence and stability, and they'll share eventually. Sometimes. In tiny tiny tiny doses. So stubborn. Then again, I guess I love that too.

I like that honesty and straightforwardness is valued when conversing with an INTJ. Discussing ideas with an INTJ is also fun--like playing around in Ni land. So rewarding.

    They're so stinkin' adorable.

Edit: I say frustrating because of the lack of affirmations. And I generally deduct that my presence to them is valuable, but it feels like I'm barely being tolerated.

Haha. Even this turned into a somewhat emotional rant.

But that's the truth isn't it? Feelings are never to be trusted as they are selfish and irrational.
Don't worry though, they are managed.

We're icebergs. You only see the tip, underneath we may be overjoyed that you're present.
Our emotions have to pass their way through checks by Ni and Te before they will be shown on the surface.

Sorry, I can't help but have that effect on people. ;) Er... at least on the ones who don't get scared off by my seriousness... or my humour... or my hermit-like tendencies... Wait, are you and Warcow being held hostage by one right now? Don't worry, I can contact help and I'll even see to it that you guys get some therapy ASAP.

These are certainly among the highest ranking criteria I have when choosing potential friends, especially the sticking around part. Loyalty is one of the three greatest things I can offer anyone so I expect some back. While they don't have to be a walking encyclopedia, I do expect competence and a desire to improve. Stability is certainly important in any kind of relationship. Now...

it feels like I'm barely being tolerated.
there's a lot more that I consider and it might be that way for most INTJs. Unfortunately, I'm not fully aware of all the conditions I have when picking friends. I'll need to expand my list. When I talk to someone I'll go through a little checklist in my head. I'll debate our compatibility and think about the good and the bad about that person. My intuition does some more work out back (also goes through a longer checklist) and eventually spits out the results.

    PASS / FAIL
