This quotation is also attributed to Pablo Picasso. It is originally a shorter version of thoughts written by T.S. Eliot:

One of the surest tests [of the superiority or inferiority of a poet] is the way in which a poet borrows. Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take, and good poets make it into something better, or at least something different. The good poet welds his theft into a whole of feeling which is unique, utterly different than that from which it is torn; the bad poet throws it into something which has no cohesion. A good poet will usually borrow from authors remote in time, or alien in language, or diverse in interest.
Eliot, T.S., “Philip Massinger,” The Sacred Wood, New York: Bartleby.com, 2000.

Warning, in online chat forums, Klingon quotations about death = Pick up lines

For example, NewJerseyKlingon: "Yo baby, today is a good day to die . . . IN YOUR ARMS!"

It's awful of me to quote myself, but.

"My text is a reflection of who I am. That's why it's impeccable."

That is quite true. I believe Steve Jobs stole it and made it his own, like he did with the "Four Seasons' look to make the Apple store.

The mouse in his corner, are you referring to? Yeah, Dostoyevsky certainly knew how to capture the helplessness of someone trapped in existential despair.
