You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow."
Kahlil Gibran ( The prophet - On Marriage)
    This is so..... beautiful.

I have way too many favourite quotes that could litter this page, but I recently purchased a book containing a vast collection of Bob Dylan's lyrics and I'm really enjoying reading it. His words seem to resonate with me, particularly those concerning his devotion to God despite his way of life and thinking:

"when my life is over, it'll be like a puff of smoke. How long must I suffer, Lord, how long must I be provoked? Satan will give you a little taste, then he'll move in with rapid speed. Lord, keep my blind side covered and see that I don't bleed."

The quote in my signature is also another quote I like at the moment, because it completely resonates with my life, it's actually also a quote that Marcel Proust really liked.

This is the question i've been asking myself. I have two answers. One in my heart and one in my head and no resolution between them.

"'What's the matter?' Molinari shouted at him. 'Has using that time-travel drug scrambled your wits, you don't know you've got only one tiny life and that lies ahead of you, not sideways or back? Are you waiting for last year to come by again or something?'" -Now Wait for Last Year by Philip Dick
