I've been trying to figure all this out for a LONG while.
Funnily enough, *all four* people in my class at school are INTJs... my Rhetoric teacher tested us, and when we got the results, she (an ESTJ) was VERY afraid

As for me, I'm the only one with real, serious interest in music and visual art (that I know of... 2 of the others are writers and one is a dancer). This facet of my personality is hard for me, because I like to be proficient at everything I do... I'm not, but I like to be... anyhow, I try to get over that OCD, pedantic, perfectionist part and just live with it all. You can't get bogged down by all that when you're in the middle of creating, at least when there's no "undo" button.

I love painting, not necessarily anything real. Photography and videography are passions of mine, and I love putting together "music videos" (basically, silent movie clips to music), which combines the audio/visual.
I play the pennywhistle (aka tin whistle), and I'm teaching myself the piano. Piano lessons went too slowly for me, and never taught me to play any of the songs I WANTED to know. So I'm starting over. I also sing. Italian is a favorite

...I do write little parodies and funny poems. Often. And they always rhyme.

I play the guitar a little. But I play it pretty badly I must admit.

Why wouldn't we be? I don't see what speaks against it. The "low F"? Surely not.

I love being creative and I do a lot of things. I used to play the piano. And of course I do a lot of artist-stuff. I always liked to draw and use colors. I was only satisfied when my hands were covered in them. It was also somewhat like a "sign of recognition". When somebody was looking for me, he just had to find the girl with the color on the hands. Mostly it was from felttip pens or so. Whatever I was working on.
Now I mostly do digital art. But just lately I was painting a piece for somebody. In fact I need to finish it tomorrow.

Also, I have this theory. From what I have experienced it seems like we are less likely to be frustrated if we are good or not so good at those things. We just do them anyways. However, we always seem to end up being high perfectionists none the less. If it doesn't look like what WE want it to, we will try and try until it's fine. Even if it might not be liked by others. Just something I have noticed.

Yes, I am an arty, musical INTJ. When I was a kid I did ballet and played classical music and drew a lot of pictures (but ahem, also designed lots of robots and toyed with scientific ideas!)

I worked in a recording studio for a while. I think that is the ultimate INTJ job because you get to combine musical creativity with technology. I think 2 of my fellow engineers were INTJs too. The only time I have known a couple of them at the same time in the same building.

These days I write the occasional song, poem, blog, or do photography and I'd like to learn how to do vector art as well.

I find being wildly passionate about both music and science at the same time a bit confusing sometimes though I have to say. I hate doing art for websites because that is combining art and math at the same time. Ugh. Too much for my poor little brain!

I play a little piano, but mostly I sing. I love classical music, especially opera. I started singing (or rather started my classical lessons) when I was ten years old.

Music has always been an integral part of my life. I easily get lost in music and I couldn't really imagine my life without it. I lack the drive to pursue a professional operatic career, but music will always be important to me.

More than music, my first love is writing. I like writing short stories and I'm working on writing a book. I like writing in the Sci Fi genre and my writing tends to by really psychological, focusing on the motivations of my characters and their evolution over the course of the story.

I really like classical music and the structure behind it, but I am in a scientific profession (chemistry) where I get to work a lot with my hands while also giving me plenty of opportunity to daydream, be absentminded, and experiment. No routines; it's perfect!

I love music. I'm learning to play piano, and I can pretty much memorize whole movements of symphonies in my head.
I mainly stick with Beethoven, Bach and Chopin, but a bit of Mozart and Satie is also nice.

    I also love creative writing.

    Heck, everything interests me.

I used to play violin. I used to memorize entire pieces, but i also used to hold my breath while i played. Though those traits are not unique to type.

Arion, you said it best -- 'everything interests me,' yet somehow I am good at all of it.

I'm an INTJ and am highly interested in the arts(music, literature, film) even though I myself am not that artistic. So it's not hard to fathom that one could be an artist.
