I asked him why he does it all the time, and he tells me because it keeps things interesting. He says if we get along all the time then it's boring.

Do you guys find yourselves doing things like this too?
All the time..even with the other INTJ's. No one escapes it =)

Yes! I do this all the time and sometime I've ended up in some trouble because of that. Some people get genuinely upset and I don't necessarily know when to stop. With my friends we do this all the time.

    Interesting....

INTJ likes to debate on a certain level, but, for the most part, avoids arguments or anything "negative" with me.

He likes to keep his environment fun and carefree when he's with me. And if I'm even straying from that, he picks up on it right away and addresses it.

I think anyone who likes to "poke the puppy" for the sheer entertainment of it or out of boredom (NOT talking constructive debates here) is lacking a bit of maturity regardless of your "type".

take the other end of the spectrum -the a-hole that goes looking for a fight at a ballgame because he's "bored" and wants to be entertained. one may be breaking the law by assaulting someone, but when it comes right down to it, it's for the same fundamental reason.

go ahead...I've put my big girl panties on. ;)

Curiosity. Knowing it has helped me accept myself and I have stopped trying to be other people's normal. It was quite a relief to find that I am normal, in a way. I feel unstoppable now - you would not believe the leaps and bounds I have made after accepting myself. I am also type 8, the "git er dun" sort.

    Knowledge about self.
    Identifying weakness and strengths.
Knowing that others before you have experienced the same things you have and the solutions they applied to overcome the same obstacles you've faced.

My debates are always for productive purposes. Though I will sometimes use the Devil's advocate technique to test others on why they believe what they do and to make sure it's properly thought out.

I don't stir things up- keeping debates civil is important to me.

Do you think when being under stress Ni morphs into Ne or Ti?

I know my process is usually a bad gut feeling that causes me to think about all the worst case scenarios.
Then you get this internal conflict between what your gut is telling you and what problems you're facing.

OMIGOD?! my INTJ friend does this all the timeee!! its so annoying!!
I would be deep concentration trying to find information/ get tasks done,
and then he purposely pop out of no where and starts poking fun at me.

and then we get into debate xD;;; In a good way that is.

But he knows when its appropriate or not to do it.
If say, I'm frustrated, he doesn't do it though. xDll

    Okay question:

    Quick choose!
    Blue apple or purple pear!

Exactly! it seems so Ne/Ti to me, which prompt me to question.
