I'm a bit confused. Why does it matter what his personality type is, if you already don't trust him or like him? And if so, why do you think he might be an INTJ? The only reason you have given so far is that he is in law school.

ps I am the worst chess player in history, and I'm not much good at arithmetic, either.

Zeth here with a question. There's this guy in my class who acts like a friend...but isn't really one. I've noticed he's very sly and slick in terms of hiding his true intentions. I had a pretty bad hunch about this guy. Wondered why he was only interested in contacting me when he needed/wanted something. He expects open favors from people who aren't his friends, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate often. Another friend of mine has been confirming a lot of my suspicions.

I'm in law school, and as law students go, a good chunk of them are normally INTJs. He doesn't seem like the typical ISTJ to me. I'm not sure whether he's an INTJ.

I'd like some tips on how to tell whether he's one of ya. Not knocking on INTJs, one of my best friends is one. But...the way he carries himself around morally bothers me.
    Sounds more like an ENFJ.

Excellent points... he sounds not worth the effort to interpret.

I am surprised you say most law students are INTJ. I am with lawyers constantly, and they seem distinctly non-INTJ, way too much emotionality. Of course I see mostly the litigator pit bulls. I also work with doctors, and that's where I notice all the INTJs, and they are so soothing and quiet and NONEMOTIONAL. Do not forget, law does not exactly attract the most moral crowd, as I am sure you are learning, but INTJ doesn't mean good morals either, so we aren't necessarily trustworthy, it usually just means that our arrogance is earned and they we are more likely introverted than snobby. I think in other areas we can be just as much of a nightmare as any other type.

Ask him. You are concerned about his ulterior motives, yet you are seeking to figure out his MBTI type...to what end you haven't said. Sounds like Law school sucks. Sorry.
