Being an INTJ has nothing to do with whether you like Science or Math. Being an INTJ is not specified by liking certain subjects.

If I am then I'm one that doesn't seem to follow the typical, if not stereotypical, INTJ traits.
    How so?
Ever considered if you are more of a balanced INTJ? Plus...who gives a crap about those *typical INTJ traits* anyways. Those are only supposed to be a help, not fix rules.
Did you ever take a test? What do those say? Maybe it could help you feel more *secure* =)

I originally tested as an INFP if anyone here who knows me well can believe it. However, I don't this was the proper result for me after a rocky friendship ended and I felt more comfortable with myself and my opinions without some asshole buzzing in my ear making me feel worthless. Anywho, I've tested as just about everything introverted from INFP to ISFP to INTJ to INTP. Everything but extroverted.

I guess you are just balanced. Or do you have lots of stress? That can change you for some time.

Hm, it's interesting that you say that. I used to be way insecure about my type too at first. It took quite some time until it got more steady. This seems to happen to a lot of us INTJs (and sometimes also others). Might be another indication. *grin*

I always seem to be stressed about one thing or another.

Well, welcome to the club then.
Could be ONE explanation why you are being a bit jumpy. There is so many possibilities and shades. Mostly you'll have to go by your gut instincts I guess. Eventually just keep observing yourself will be able to tell you what you are mostly. Then again, we are not static. You could be an INTJ now and in a few years you might tend more towards something else. In the end, you are what you want to be.
    My 2 cents.

Personally, I have never tested as anything but INTP, with the exception of a quiz that was supposed to determine at-work personality (I got ISTJ). However, various things have lead me to believe that I may not be INTP. The most recent set of events deal with the function hierarchy that are supposed to define each type. So my suggestion is to check your cognitive functions: Function Analysis Test.

Also, shano and I occasionally mention MBTI (usually very indirectly and briefly). One of the main criticisms he notes about the whole topic of personality tests and theories is that personality is more situational than the theories account for.
