Like I said- a large part of it had to do with intimidation and the various degrees of the personality components. Imagine a somewhat reserved, and awkward person who doesn't appreciate social protocols trying to engage with another extremely reserved, and awkward individual. There's no "balance", so even if there is understanding to some degree, I'd imagine (and this has certainly been true in my experience) that the interaction would painful more times than not. But it's fair to argue that this is all speculation and anecdotal evidence. Maybe I've just been meeting the wrong INTJ females.
Socionics (and for me brilliant, spot on !:):
    INTj uncovered

If there were Weirdness Olympics between all 16 types then INTj would be an unbeatable gold medallist. In fact INTjs are so weird that they do not just appear weird to people who don't know them, but to other INTjs as well. This is because INTjs take little or no notice of what other people think. What they think themselves is much more important to INTjs. That is why if everybody is certain that bridges have to be built across the river, an INTj may contemplate the possibility of building one along the river. There would probably be a logical reason for that since INTjs view everything through the square prism of logic. And as long as logical rules are obeyed everything is fine.

btw, obviously the solution is to build a bridge along the river, after all the problem is that people are complaining about muddy boots!

    Ooh I love butterflys.

I`ve only just heard about Socionics and just took the test. I`m also pretty green on comparing and evaluating the whole process used with any of the systems (I`m just getting into the whole idea of critiquing it all). One thing I have come up with as a question to myself is: It seems to me that if we were to start a society from scratch we would give the MBTI processes in about the percentages it says are distributed across types ... it makes sense to me that we need that ratio for society to work .. what say you?
Also isn`t `plenty headache-material` something we would relish?

I have found that in order to understand Socionics, I had to forget everything I knew about MBTI. I decided to stay with MBTI and deepen my understanding the cognitive functions as applied in that theory.

I literally just did a mini rant about this in the Stream of Consciousness thread before coming here to see this.

I don't know how rare we are, but I have difficulty to find a women like me. Most are too girly for me, too emotional, too loud, too talkative and are interested in things that I'm not. For example if most my female friends watch medical movie about a patient that has to die they are crying and are sympathizing with the doctors that relate to the patient and are sad with them. I don't. If I'm a doctor and cry every time one of my patient dies, I would want to kill myself. People die, that's normal. Besides, it's TV, there is no need for such drama.

Most females around me also don't understand how I don't want to be dolled up every day. I don't feel comfortable with high heels, one ton of makeup and sexy tight dresses and skirts. I prefer comfortable clothing. Not that I don't dress like that, but I do it only when there is some event, not for daily work.

And I don't need to talk aloud, kiss everyone around me and hug them all the time. It's so not my thing. Oh and reading chick flicks and watching such movies is also not my thing. I prefer to use my logic. I feel more comfortable that way.

Yeah, true. I love reading but romance theme is the last thing I would read. I also don't have much interest in the interests of other girls around me like fashion and boys.

    I
A female INTJ. I really didn't realize how weird we were till reading this post. The messed up part is that I can't be in a relationship with a male INTJ other than platonic.

why do you think that is?

I don't know about Dara_w but the INTJ male thing doesn't work well for me because I usually find they are as career oriented as I am. Relationships are give and take which doesn't work if neither will give in a certain area.
