It's like, "I like waffles. I like pancakes." There's not much there to discuss.

You could open up a discussion to something like gay marriage, or abortion, or Ron Paul, or taxes, or some other political topic - but that's been done to death already. Most of the long-term posters here have already contributed to those threads and they're buried now in the sands of time.

You could start up a conversation about some field of science or recent discovery, but there's only going to be so much to say about it and after a few pages, it will fade away.

The two biggest roadblocks are that INTJs just don't display their passion with as much intensity, and they're also really concise most of the time. Combine those two, and any discussion you begin isn't going to last long, and in the mind of a healthy INTJ - it really shouldn't.
Yeah. I was just going to come back and add that it makes sense in terms of ^^this why the stickied threads should be the busiest and most natural. I think the way the INTP forum works is that each thread has about a 1-day life, during which everyone says whatever they want, and then they fade, and the next day something else might pop up that is interesting. If a thread gets revived then it must be really interesting. But then again, INTPs have Ne, so they love exploring new ideas and patterns.

Mistypes, mistypes everywhere... I tend not to stray too far from the stickied threads in this subforum, you can really tell who are and who aren't real INTJs, and it just becomes a pain after awhile.

My first thought, why the fuck is Abraxas so special?

    Ah, tricks...

We are trolled a lot.....I mean a lot. When INTJs own someone in a debate they make enemas (enemies) you can see the shit fight. Another thing is they are frequently misunderstood and fights will erupt from someone's hurt feelings from what an INTJ may have inadvertently inferred....not good at secret language of "the game" is the INTJ. We are private...so we tend to come here and the other sticky threads and rattle off to keep up with each other. This is where all the talk of cogs ideas are made. Since it's here already why go make a thread when everyone gets it?

We actually can't be ourselves and have the balanced threads as a lot of the time we do we are told by other types that we should have said/done/approached it differently so retreating occurs again. So what happens is we all end up facepalming at the outer threads so much we look like we are not bothering....we are...it's just we tend to be more protective of it in the stickies.

There have been many attempts made to rectify this situation. I think that if we are to actually report more trollers then lordy help me they might all just thin out and we can get on with the "balanced" threads?
I definitely like having a small number of threads where most of the interesting things are said, rather than having the good stuff spread out through half a million other threads that I have to sift through.

I rarely go looking through the list of other threads. A number of other threads I only saw because someone mentioned them here or in one of the other "core" threads.*

Another forum has a rather dead INTJ sub-forum because it doesn't really have any of these core threads. (p3r-nat1on)
(I'm working on changing that little by little, though.)

(*I only consider four of the stickies as core threads. I consider one non-sticky, "Things that make INTJs laugh", as a core thread.)

Because INTPs are just cool :-P

I enjoy annoying trolls, especially in multiplayer games (mostly League of Legends). Yesterday I accurately guessed that some idiot was in a fraternity simply by his outlook on life. Man, Ni is great.

Two very successful ways of annoying a troll:
    1. Question or ignore their insult. "YOUR GAY" ... "Thank you!"
    2. Insist they spell correctly when insulting you. If they do not comply, correct their spelling constantly.

People are idiots. Make them feel like one.

The only problem with this is the search function doesn't magically find what you want it to, even with the correct search terms.

We actually can't be ourselves and have the balanced threads as a lot of the time we do we are told by other types that we should have said/done/approached it differently so retreating occurs again. Honestly, why do we get so many trollers and/or other types posting in here? I see ENxPs most commonly. Do they feel like we don't talk enough? Do they feel like they need to find some sighting of us rare pokemon INTJ? It's actually kind of frustrating--not because I don't want to hear from other types, but because they usually ruin the conversation and cause the retreat you mentioned here.

"How to deal with an INTJ, 101:
    1. Leave us alone or we'll decimate you.
    2. No, that doesn't mean we hate you.
    3. I guess we might want your company once a year. Maybe. If we have nothing better to do.
    [...]"

Yeah, this is why the vast majority of the INTJ threads seem to end in, well... pointless chatter. And the pointless debating is more annoying (see religion thread). There's been a ton of good discussion, but it's very much situational and usually happens when a new, undiscussed (or barely explored, or important) topic comes up.

    ETA:
I've been up for 24 hours. Ugh, I think I'll go collapse on a bed now.

By the sounds of it, it sounds that there had been so many straws being piled on, that the 'last straw' could have been anything.

Which is to say, if the 'last straw' didn't occur, then something else would.

Perhaps the INTPs aren't subject to the burden that is the [inexplicable] affection of the other types.

Large portion of our threads is relationship advice.
The rest is sarcasm, which we've refined from said relationship threads...
    Eylrid thanked this post.
