    Eye contact

Okay, so I'm becoming obsessed, I apologize.

When I first met my INTJ, he could barely look me in the eye. Then, after a while (being a couple of hours of some in-depth bonding) when he warmed up a bit, he held eye contact longer than anyone I've ever talked to. Seriously, it was astonishing. When I said something about it, he challenged me to a contest. I really could maintain eye contact for as long as someone would let me.... it's really quite intimate. After a long while we had to agree to a draw...

    It this an INTJ thing?

I use a lot of eye contact to make it aware to the speaker that I am interested in what they are saying. It's a small effort in making myself appear a lot more softer and approachable.

Eye contact was something I never did when I was younger. But I realised later on that there's a lot of power in controlling eye contact, and I worked to develop piecing stares to convey tone. I am now quite fond of eye contact, even if I'm not quite fond of being in situations that require it.

I have been told before that I have a way of making eye contact that makes people squirm. The imperious gaze of the pale green eyes, ha...I really don't mean to spook people. I try not to gaze at people but I do make eye contact. If I am smitten by someone it's a different story

Ummm. I tend to avert my gaze a fair bit. I am aware of it while I'm doing it. It actually irritates me because I feel myself stealing looks and bumbling a little more than usual.....I kick myself after too but that's usually because I have blurted something completely retarded. I guess that's how someone could tell if I liked them....I become quite avoidant and talk crap. It changes as soon as I am absolutely certain that the feelings are reciprocated. I become more myself again....one would think I would have outgrown it by now....sadly not.
