You notice YOUR A FEELER sometimes?!

I have this INTJ friend who seems to remember his younger self as actually pretty emotional. Even now he finds himself really feeling his rock music, and getting more enthused and emotionally stuck, by a book and a song to go along, then alot of feelers.

Its interesting, because when you look at it from the stereotypical, cold and empty INTJ angle it doesn't work. He's told me about some of his daydreams he has because of how much some books, shows, characters or songs stick to him. Sometimes I think he's more feeling, empathetic, deep, and understanding than I ever deserve to be called.

    Can you relate?
And if so, tell me what you think about it?

It's not like we're emotionless robots. We're actually very emotional on the inside. Way way on the inside. The part that's hidden to most of the public. Can't have our secret coming out.

    Oh. Whoops.

To answer your question, yes, I can relate. Music and a good story (told from whatever medium - books, video games, movies, visual novels, etc...) can get me emotional as long as it's really good. Heh, right now I'm playing The World Ends With You.

I feel like the game was purposefully made for me. Seriously. Sometimes I can relate with the protagonist's thoughts so much that it's not even funny. I'm currently frustrated that none of my friends know the game, because I want to analyze this with someone.

    I watched this:

I closed my bedroom door halfway so that nobody could see me cry.

EDIT: fuck, I watched it again, crying now. GG.

You notice YOU'RE a feeler sometimes?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES! Sometimes I wonder If I was a feeler but every time I test it would always result in INTJ. Maybe it has to do with enneagram.

When I am being emotional, usually it's me, myself, and I are talking. I don't show it to anyone. If you're a Thinker it doesn't mean you don't have feelings. On the outside I don't share much emotions. But if I have some trusted friend to share my emotions to, they'd see that I am emotional inside and can easily get carried away by sad movies and novels and music. Actually I am attracted to melancholic and gloomy things.

I feel all the time. I feel like going to the toilet. I feel like a taco. I felt childbirth like a mofo!

Seriously though. It's always there and emotions can run high if you don't attend to them. It's just that decisions aren't made on the way that I feel....sometimes I can stop myself from going to the toilet too.

Yes I have feelings, and I'm the queen of empathy. I just don't show my own feelings all the time, and I'm just not very in-touch with them most of the time. But this is a nice song that I really feel when I'm happy, sad, or just pensive (this is the norm for me).

Nope. I'm a cold, heartless bitch. I'd tell you to ask my ex-husband, but, alas, you can't.

Most of my feelings are internalized. I don't express them often at all. But I also have difficulty doing so even when I want to. I am also prone to feel down or depressed at times (Unfortunately I am not equally prone to feel happy or excited). Most of the time though, I am somewhere in the middle ground, not feeling too good or bad. I would never call myself an F, though there were times when I was much closer to this, particularly in my youth and during some life crises.

You guys are the mushiest of all of the NTs.

Don't try and tell me you're like a robot. Making you all blush is like spraying ether into an intake manifold of a diesel engine....

    The engine block explodes.....

I had a woman give me this death stare yesterday in response to my "unbridled enthusiasm" when we were all talking with my boss. It just made me laugh even more.

INTJ or not, death stares from people who have no power over me crack me up.

Like everyone else said, yes, the emotions are in there but I don't talk about them much. It all goes into the writing. And to further jump on the bandwagon, here's my most reliable tear-jerker.

"...and there are storms we cannot weather." Gets me every time.
