What I would assume from an INTJ would be stone cold stares, the cold shoulder when attempting to discuss "feelings," and that sort of thing. Notice I used the word cold twice. But, that is not what I see from my dear INTJ friend.
While she is markedly shyer than I (INFP!) am, I have had some of the most wonderful conversations with her regarding the feely type stuff. I have even got her to open up to me about deep past secrets/ issues. Basically, we get along swell. We can talk and talk, and it's great fun. This is usually over texting though, mind you. When we're physically together, I do the most talking and feel a bit awkward, but we still can have long, great conversations then as well. One thing I've noticed is that we usually only interact in that way when we're mostly alone. But that is certainly fine by me! :) Also, she is not the type to initiate physical contact, so I need to be a bit more bold some of the time. Nevertheless, I love who she is ever so much. She is kind, intelligent, creative as hell, and just all around intriguing! And the funny thing is, she actually wants to talk to me all the time! I would expect (stereotype) for her to not be super interested in talking to me all the time, but every day she sends me a little "I miss you" or something along those lines.
And of course, the INFP in me just loves those little "I miss you's."
So what I really want to emphasize is... she's swell.
You INTJs are swell people.
I embrace you for who you are.

PS- Of course I know that not all INTJs are the same. This lovely girl-friend of mine may be just a smidgen more towards the F than some of you. Nonetheless, you're great.

My dad's an intj and I say all the time that I hate him.

But my eyes are swelling with tears now, because I do love him, very much so. He is the most well rounded person, and is incredibly loyal. He's an enneagram 8 and explodes at stupidity, especially mine.. :P but damn. That's not too bad. He never lets me into his world, but the times he has, make up for years of shutting me out. I respect him like no other person in this world- not because he's my father (I don't feel like he's my father) but because of all that he is. Of all the people around me- estjs, infjs, esfps, isfps... he is the person who never asks me about who I am, but I feel like he still knows and respects who I am. He accommodates for my personality better than anyone else I know.
His depth of love is great and hidden under the surface.. I've never heard 'I love you' and he's never directly expressed it to me, but I see it every time he looks at me. It never wavers, through it all. Through the fights and the misunderstandings... I can't say that for anyone else I know. Once you get in his heart, there's no leaving.
I seriously drive him nuts, comes with the territory of being an infp. But he's one cool dude.

There is something about this personality, that makes me.. I must find another and marry him! mwahahahahaha. Poor him. But lucky me! :D

You're technically boosting our egos, here. The only 'attacks' you will suffer at the hands of the INTJ crowd is an attack shaped to distract you from the smiles. We have a reputation to keep up, you know.

I have read that INTJ-INFP relationships can work spectacularly well. This may have to do with the shared Fi. Both find the other adorable (perhaps having to do something with inverse inferior functions?), and the INFP usually ends up turning the INTJ into a pile of cuddly muck.
