    INTJ The Thoughtful Scientist

People with the INTJ personality type have an enormous capacity for creativity. They can produce ideas about the world around them, making associations among dynamics that most other personality types miss. While others are confused by abstract ideas and new concepts, INTJs have a unique intuition that allows them to understand new ideas and conceptualize their results easily. They relate to the outside world thoughtfully, yet show little compulsion for thinking without action. Instead, INTJs prefer to take action to settle matters before moving on to other pursuits. Below, we'll explore their penchant for theory, fondness for applying their ideas, and a few inherent limitations.

    Appreciation For Theory
Ideas come easily to INTJs. Not only do they understand unfamiliar concepts quickly, but they tend to form their own creative ideas and solutions to problems. This tendency is consistent with this type's appreciation for theory. In effect, while others around them may observe a problem and struggle to produce a potential solution, INTJs will often devise several possible resolutions. In fact, they will frequently eschew the obvious and simple solution for one that is more complex or even paradoxical.

    Tendency Toward Application
While INTJ types have a well-honed capacity for theory and creative thinking, they are unsatisfied without taking action on their ideas. For some personality types, understanding a given idea or concept is enough. But, people with the INTJ traits must travel one step further and actually apply an idea or concept in a way that adds value to feel like they're contributing. They enjoy organization and relish closure. Their ability to plan strategically offers small comfort to them without their being able to take action on their plans.

    INTJ Personality And Strengths
Because of their natural intuition and their tendency to view the outside world in a thoughtful way, INTJs are well-qualified to be leaders or scientists. They are deliberate in thought and action, and often encourage trust and loyalty amongst others. Their ability to conceptualize new ideas allows them to quickly judge the merits of all possible options to a given problem. Plus, their inherent confidence regarding the choices they make after analyzing a situation gives them a natural reassurance to take action.

    Potential Weaknesses
The areas of strength for the INTJ personality type also provide the backdrop for potential failings. For example, while their characteristic self-reliance and confidence are necessary for taking deliberate action on their ideas, these same traits can make them seem aloof and unapproachable. Plus, because INTJs find others' approval or praise unnecessary, they often neglect to provide such things to those around them, alienating themselves in the process.

Ultimately, the INTJ personality is capable of accomplishing great things. Their only hurdle is a seeming lack of tolerance for the ideas of others. If INTJs can learn to express their appreciation for those around them, they may find that their own goals are easier to achieve.

    Well said.

Another weakness is an inability or very limited ability to read people. The emotional distance between us and world is a bidirectional barrier as we can be hypersensitive to other people's feelings, so we divorce in order to retain a rational grip on ourselves.

We also get frustrated at stupidity in those around us and have problems dealing with those whose mode of thinking is incompatible with our own. We talk of details woven into patterns, while others can talk in broad, sweeping generalisations. The language incompatibility can lead to furious and unresolvable arguments.

Ive found that since i am able to think so abstractly Ive always felt like it is extremely easy for me to understand others perspectives on ideas. So i have a very easy time reading people, i can agree to some extent the emotional distance but i don't think to the extent that i always read it in.

Don't expect to conform entirely to type profiles - you are, after all, a unique individual.

It's a good attribute, I think, that you are capable of relating to others.

I can also read people exceptionally well; it's rare that a person can surprise me.

release the intuitive powers and we can even dig the subconscious thoughts of others Intuition is very sensitive, do not doubt her - she simply wont show up when needed.

Another hard task would be ensuring purity of mind or body, the height of it will ensure the beginning of sixth sense kinda intuition. I am trying

Not as precise as the INTP. INTJs often quarrel with INTPs, the J v P conflicts.

Typically, the INTJ accuses the INTP of not understanding when the INTP disagrees. And then the INTJ will ask what is the point of the INTP saying what he does and then he will pick minor faults in the INTP argument to discredit him. He might also accuse the INTP of being an obstructionist!

The INTP tries to understand everything about everything even remotely related to a topic/goal. The INTJ's primary interest is completing the task, and is concerned only with knowledge directly related to doing so. So te INTP (using Ne) will come up with and speculate about endless possibilities, while the INTJ (whose Ni, concerned with creating patterns by relating data, is dominant) wants to know what the hell that has to do with anything.

Leads to frustration for the INTJ, who isn't terribly interested in peripheral concepts.

I think INTP's are obstructionists from their confidence in their internal logic. They impose their beliefs and attempt to discredit all alternatives for consistency with their processing.

I believe if you try hard enough you can succeed to adopt or adapt to someone else's view, even if just for a split second, to try and realize where they really come from. Then you can find a consensus. It takes energy but rewards with better communication. It's a challenge but therefore not impossible. F.e. attempts like the MBTI are good references when trying to grasp different views.
