    Comic books

I am a comic book fanatic, so all of you who are addicted to the marvel/dc/vertigo drug please post your 5 favorite line of comics with a description because I am interested to know and discover suggestions.

    Here are mine:

    1. Punisher.
    2. Walking Dead (okay, not to be unoriginal, but I was in the bookstore a few years back when I peered in this stacks of books and saw two issues of this zombie apocalypse trade and thought it was just some random line of comics, and now it's a hit! just like it should be. Plus, it got me back into comics.)
    3. Death Stroke.
    4. Green Lantern Corps.
    5. Marvel Zombies.

    1. Sandman
    2. Y the Last Man
    3. Wanted (anything written by Mark Millar including Nemesis, War Heroes and Kick-Ass)
    4. Buffy Season 8 (because I'm a Joss Whedon fan)
    5. Frank Miller's Dark Knight (because he changed Batman for the better)

I'm not really into traditional comic books so much, but I'm very into webcomics and some graphic novels, if you're interested in those at all.

Oddly enough, I haven't read any of those but have recognized all of them. I have always wanted to read Y just because of the title that gives a vibe of solitude and that intrigues me a lot.

I have a stumble upon and cross a lot of those, but they are mostly just humor which I don't mind but usually I want something with action that can pull me in and flow like a film.

The premise of Y The Last Man is every male on Earth dies in a single instant except for Yorick, the last man. It's the story of him with his pet monkey, the only other male, trying to find his girlfriend in the post-apocalyptic world that follows.

Ha! sounds comical. Those were a long line of comics, do they still make them? And if they do, are they still worth buying?

I'm super, super into Geoff John's reboot of the Green Lantern franchise. I also kind of like Deadpool. I'm just getting in to reading comic books, though; I've always liked the TV shows and the movies that they spawn, but before now, I'd never really read any of the comics themselves. The first comic book I read was Watchmen, and I read it when I saw the first previews for the movie and got really intrigued.

There are plenty of high quality story webcomics that aren't focused on humor; the problem is often just that they don't update as regularly as the daily-gag types. For instance, Sin Titulo is amazing, but it's been on hiatus for months.

    reMIND is also not humor-based.

Saint's Way isn't very long yet, but it's good so far. It involves super heroes, but doesn't revolve around one specifically.

Ectopiary is on hiatus for another month or so, but it's interesting if you don't mind it being fairly bizarre.

Lastly, Aquapunk is only 44 pages in as of this post, but it's quite unique and has been more action-oriented than some of the other comics I've listed here.
