I am not lazy. I am pretty laid back and hard to motivate to get started on anything... once I am going I am all good though.

Yes, I'm lazy. I don't value constant meaningless activity, organization, or conformity. I have an unconventional job that allows me to get paid for sitting around doing nothing most of the time, and I love it. I don't place much effort on anything I don't care about, and the things I care about are usually introspective, meditative, or quietly creative rather than active or practical. Chores are tedious and mundane. If I care to do them, it is only because I care about the person I am pleasing by doing them. If I lived alone, I would not feel motivated to bathe or change my clothes every day. I would let the clutter win, and I would be content that way.

I've already tried the bum thing, but this job pays better. I get more benefits for less effort.

I'm not sure if I'll call it laziness.

If it doesn't spark my interest or if I don't see meaning in doing it, I wouldn't like/want to do it. It's just, there are way too many things in my life that fit into that category. Wait. Actually, they mostly have to do with school. It's the the whole concept of studying hard to do well in exams. (I feel a rant coming, apologies in advance) Firstly, I hate that people put so much emphasis on exams. As if our grades really could reveal how worthy of a person we are. Secondly, I don't believe school was built with the intent of churning out as many A graders as possible. That is not the primary duty of schools. It really should be to facilitate our holistic development, nurture our talents, teach us to really think and learn about our environment. Not just meaningless shoving of facts and theories. (That's what most schools in my country do anyways) They don't help you put things into context, teach you how they are actually applicable to your life. (Perhaps because most of it isnt!) It's as if everything is learnt just for the sake of exams, not for the betterment of your life. GAH.

Besides all that, I just couldn't care less about mundane details and chores. And like Snail said, if I do them, it'll be because of someone I care about.

Yeah, I'm pretty lazy. Not like a stoner or a drop out lazy but more just lazy lazy. Slacker lazy if you want to call it that. Until I get a girlfriend though.
