So, this thread was started on the INFJ forums, and I was curious how us INFPs would rate on the following tests!

Dark Triad Personality Test Dark Triad Personality Test Link

MACH-IV: Machiavellianism Test Machiavellianism Test Link

My results were as follows:

Your score was 61 of 100. (Machiavelli)

Other test:

Narcissism: 2.4 (35%)

Machiavellianism: 2.8 (51%)

Psychopathy: 1.1 (4%)

Interesting... I got very different results for the Machiavellianism trait so makes me wonder how accurate these tests are. Although I do feel like the one that tested strictly for Machiavellianism was more focused on how I view the world instead of how I act.

Machiavellianism Test

Your score was 62 of 100.

This puts you in the category of the high Machs, people who do not belive in the goodness of the world and that because that it must be manipulated, people who Machiavelli would approve of.

A graph of how others who have taken this have scores is below. These scores should not be taken as population norms though, the people who seek out tests of machivellianism on the internet are most likely not representative.

Narcissism 1.7 14th Percentile

Okay I took the test on my phone, and took a screenshot, but I can't seem to upload the thing!

I will upload it later, but right now I am super lazy, so I will just paraphrase:

Narcissism is .4-- 0 percentile
Machiavellianism is 2-- 20 percentile
Psychopathy is .4-- 0 percentile

I.... doubt this is very accurate.... Though yeah, I agree that Machiavellianism was more of my view on the matter, and not how I would react. But I def. Am not that Angelic in the other traits XD

hello! <3 whatever Tapatalk!

Bloop, forgot about this thread....

I have flux for my phone, so that is why it is so orange/red. XD

Also, took the other test:

Your score was 40 of 100.

This puts you in the category of the low Machs, people who will hold out for the goodness of the world and avoid manipulation. Not the people Machiavelli would approve of.

A graph of how others who have taken this have scores is below. These scores should not be taken as population norms though, the people who seek out tests of machivellianism on the internet are most likely not representative.

Haha, dat last sentence tho.

Hmm, I think I'm actually more narcissistic than anything else, but eh. I've done a more comprehensive test about psychopathy some years ago, and then I got 13 out 40, so I don't know. The creator of that test had this idea that anyone who got between 18 and 24 would be the kind of psychopath who can use their lack of empathy to their advantage and effectively hide their manipulative ways from the people around them.

Don't know why I have such high scores. I don't actually know if i can manipulate others good. I have the impression of sometimes yes and sometimes not. But i probably need more reflection on it to know this for sure. I'm probably a bit egocentric, yes. Aware of this. But at the same times i'm able to sacrifice myself, to hurt myself for the goods of someone else. I like attention and i like a good image of being known. I'm also pretty known where I live. (even when it is not my intention) and i'm still shy.

Psychopathy, not sure of this. I'm good in being empathious, but at the same times i could be highly critical. I'm sometimes aware that i could laugh in situations where you need to be sad or laugh for no reason. But that could be due a lack of close relatives and because everyone feels like a stranger. I think i care more over strangers than average, but i also think that i care less to close relatives than average (because they don't feel like close relatives).

However there is a fight inside me: "I know people are not perfect and they make mistakes and they still care about people, they are not going to consiously hurting other people and life could be short so i better try to make the best of it versus they ruined my life, so i don't want to see them anymore because i want to have a fresh start with new people that could influence me in a more positive way but i wish them the best in their lives.

Narcissism is an egotistical preoccupation with self. Because of all their experience with maintaining their self image, people who score high for narcissism will often appear charming but their narcissism will later lead to extreme difficulty in developing close relationships.

Machiavellianism is a tendency to be manipulative and deceitful. It usually stems from a lack of respect or disillusionment for others.

Psychopathy reflects shallow emotional responses. The relative lack of emotions leads results in high stress tolerance, low empathy, little guilt and leads them to seek extremely stimulating activities, resulting in impusivity and a disposition towards interpersonal conflict.

Most of the answers about dishonesty and interaction with others was based on the belief that there are occasions where "honesty" is relative and might be more harmful than beneficial or helpful. For example, if a father borrowed money from me to buy his child a birthday ice cream cone because he couldn't afford it, I wouldn't be honest if the kid asked me. I also don't think personal motives should be the crux of a request when I can sell it to someone based on their own, real interests.

It's not harmful dishonesty, it's pragmatic honesty. I do believe in telling the truth as much as possible, however.

This is pretty true. In general I prefer benign manipulation to outright conflict, and at my worst I'm very passive-aggressive. I think maybe twice in my adult life I've actually yelled at someone. If I have to be assertive, it's a quiet intensity that I can dial back into cooperativeness pretty fast. My boyfriend teases me though, because if I get absolutely screwed over I have a poison-the-well strategy. I don't have to win, but I refuse to lose alone.

ITT lots of mistyped ENFPs and INFJs.

Oh, what makes you say that? I often type as an INFJ (especially as of late), however I still believe myself to be an INFP, simply because it, overall, sounds a lot more like me, especially the whole 'idealistic dreamer' thing. I do sometimes wonder though.
