Not related. An Extrovert needs to talk in order to have his brain function properly. Basically he needs to hear himself talk. The communication lines of his brain include the external line of sound coming out of his mouth and entering again through his ears. Without this, nothing at all happens inside his brain. (I'm exaggerating here to make a point of course.) As talking is easier when other people are around, this process usually includes interaction with other people. But it's not uncommon to have an extrovert come to you, he starts talking, you hardly say a thing, and after he's been talking for 10 minutes, he says: Thanks! and walks a way.
Introverts don't do that. But in order for the introverted brain to come up with ideas, it does need information from outside. This can be in the form of reading a book, or doing research online, or simply by talking to somebody. It's not the interaction with the person that gives you the ideas, it's the information that you get from this person. (Different from the extrovert because he just needed the interaction itself in order to be able to think. Whether or not new information entered his brain isn't important, though it may help of course.)

22Thanks
