but what im asking is basically do you not fit in well with other people and do you get most enjoyment out of things your passionate about instead of interacting with people like most people?

This equals my life. Sometimes it makes me feel a little selfish and I know that the girls that I live with probably see me this way. To some people, it seems kind of snobby, like I think they're not good enough for me or something. This kind of reminds me of the story of the two young fish and the old fish.

The two young fish are swimming along when they pass by an old fish. The old fish says, "So how's the water?" and one of the young fish says, "Stop bothering us, Grandpa!" The young fish leave and once they're away from the old fish, one of them says, "So anyways, what the hell is water???"

Basically sometimes we have a tendency to be young fish and be so oblivious to the outside world to not even realize all the water around us...But I think it might get better with age. Hopefully.

So you're asking if people ever feel alienated from each other? I would say yes, very much so. We are individual beings of consciousness and so even in the company of others we are still alone. I think that's why these self-help gurus express with great emphasis to love yourself, if not for the money they cash in on people who don't. To answer your question, I do get my enjoyment in reading a book, playing an instrument, or simply sitting on my sofa in comtemplation rather than hanging out with other people.
