So, what do you think about this mixture?
I'm specifically talking about a relationship where the girl is an INFP and the boy an INTP.
doomed, condemned to failure
curious
beautiful
weird
is perfect
will never finish
is not a real love relationship
is an only-friends relationship
could work
will work

I'm specifically talking about a relationship where the girl is an INFP and the boy an INTP.
You know those cliche high school dramas where this shy, artsy girl spends the entire show weeping over her unrequited love for some popular, clueless jock about how "he won't notice me, he never pays attention to me, why can't he see me when he walks past me in the hallway? etc, etc, etc"?
Yeah... that's about how I see it
Granted, she'd be more outgoing than the girl and he'd be less jock and more nerd than the guy, but still. The analogy applies.
I'm in a relationship with an INTP. It's delightful. He thinks I'm cute because I'm the weird, shy artsy girl, and I think he's cute because he's just like the guys I always wanted when I was his age, but couldn't get because most of them were either delusionally drooling over the popular cheerleaders, masturbating to hentai, or obsessed with famous girls they knew there was no risk of actually having a relationship with. If they weren't, they were so in love with their computers that they didn't know girls even existed.
I FINALLY GOT ONE!!!! :D
Just make sure the one you get isn't a condescending arrogant dick-head, because those suck, but if he's nice, that kind of relationship can be freakin' awesome!
I think the connection could be deep and meaningful... IF the INTP has a clue about F-style behavior and the INFP understands T-style behavior.
IOW, it's a communication issue.
But both are Ne-intensive, if they've both got some imagination, they can figure all that out.
I'm currently involved with an INFP and on some level it's like "soul mate."

I voted will work. I don't think any relationship "will work", but I see no reason why an INTP wouldn't get along with an INFP just fine as long as both of them were stable.
It seems there are quite a few of this pairing around here. :P
It's like a missing side. We see the world through the same eyes but from different angles. Our values don't stray far from each other so there's not conflict. As Jennywocky said, communication is key.
Two sides, same coin.
As with any relationship, though, it all comes down to the people involved.

It wouldn't let me click multiple options, or I would have said "beautiful," "weird" and depending on your meaning "will never finish." What I mean by the never finishing part is that it's not quite perfect enough to make a person stop trying to make it better, so there will always be room for growth. :)
