Do you find as an INFP that you are easily addicted to social media because it feeds your perceptions with new data? If so how does this affect your work, school, and family life?

No. not our perception, but our need to feel joy and happiness whenever we want or need to, because on social media you can hear what you want by those who are readily avalible to tell you what you want to hear. Just like Porno or Party lines, this too can become addicting.

What kind of social media. Do you mean facebook? I don't like social plataforms such as facebook because the connections seem more superficial, but I do enjoy using other types of online social media like forums such as this one. It helps me connect with like minded people easier. It has helped me grow as a person. I can apply what I learn in the real life.

Yea. I love personalitycafe. In fact, Internet has proved to me that I'm introverted. I never knew how much I actually loved alone time until I started thinking about Personality types and stuff. I did some googling about INFPs and bam. I've never been happier since I've Discovered myself.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted to it. It does provide interaction without the in person contact. I don't mind being alone with someone but I enjoy it on a limited basis. In a sense its a alterative way to comfortably interact.

It's passes some time. Allows me to maintain some contact with my friends for events they organise and such. Keeps me in the loop. Plus I enjoy writing ambigious nonsense.
But things like PerC feel like a different animal all together compared to something like Facebook. It's a different world on the same medium. Which is one of the great things about the internet. Connecting like minded people. Before ideas were constructed from discussion amongst people meeting up in places. Now you can share your thoughts openly as you wish with the entire world. I'm sure it comforts people knowing that they aren't so isolated.

I'm have been addicted to social media because ever since I was young, I loved being able to meet people on it, and because I was never allowed out of the house, social media essentially became my out of school social life.
This has affected my work because when I should be working, I'm usually doing some sort of socializing, albeit to what degree I feel comfortable with, but my physical socializing is slightly more awkward (which I guess has something to do with the introversion too.)
It's kept my school life relatively okay and when ever I get desperate trying to finish a project I ramble on the internet to take the stress off, but because of my preference to talk to friends instead of family, it's harder to draw myself away from the internet/social media to talk to family.

Facebook makes for a great outlet for my stupid as shit sense of humor. My Dad upon friending me: "Why is your favorite sports team 'Homosexuals'?"

A team sport that will never be forgotten by anyone viewing it.

I am very addicted. But I FINALLY got rid of my Facebook after trying for a few years, IMVU account, extra email accounts (the ones I remembered passwords for..the others, I figure I won't be able to get into, anyway,) and my Tumblr. Those were all the things I used. I had to share.

And I wasn't addicted for the reason you mentioned, rather because it presented an opportunity for me to connect with others who relate and I figured it was easier to find them online vs. off (considering where I live and some other factors.) The problems with that were me NOT meeting people, and me relying on that contact in the first place. I've thought about getting rid of this however I'm not here to get to know people personally anyway.
