Where I am from we never used the word "gifted." Consequently, I may not understand it correctly. It was never used in our school system assessment designs. I might not understand what you mean by gifted?

Do you mean Multiple Intelligences (there I test highest in Naturalistic, Intra-personal, and Logical)?

We did have programs for high-school students who were more academically advanced (based on grades and behavior) who all would be in the program for 2 last years of high school. Those were more difficult classes to attend.

Do you mean extremely talented people such as Mozart, or painting talent like Vincent von Gough?

Or a very high IQ? See this website Genius IQ Score - What Is Considered a Genius IQ Score

(according to this website I would fall among moderately gifted). I do not feel I am.

Or this is what you meant? Gifted Adults

Most of these characteristics would fit me but to what degree? Except: thrives on challenge - maybe something difficult to learn - yes, but not challenging situations; has a great deal of energy - very low on energy due to some health problems; loves ideas and ardent discussion - while I like ideas, I hate when people debate and had to prove who is right or wrong to each other for the sake of proving it not learning from each other. Discussion that is free of a pressure and of judgment and allows that one fully expresses herself is what I have in mind.

One of the main reasons giftedness cannot be evaluated is because there is no solid way to measure one’s talents. That is just absurd.

Most geniuses have been defined as so, after their deaths. Including Beethoven, Mozart, and the likes. During their lifetime, they (I bet) had not even considered themselves as geniuses.

We all have gifts, and I believe it’s illogical to think you’re not talented in anyway. (Coming from me that’s a bit hypocritical, as I sometimes feel worthless) However, I believe sometimes we feel useless because we just haven’t discovered where our talent(s) rest.

Apparently, most "gifted" people have this radar when it comes to finding other gifted people in a room. Are you able to do so?

I suppose “thrives in challenge” does not mean you like challenging situations, but I believe it means you prefer challenging yourself up to new things.

Ardent discussions does not necessary mean you like to debate, but rather it can means you like to passionately discuss topics that interest you.

I agree, when a person begins to debate a topic in order to prove that s/he is right, but his or her beliefs aren’t altered even when s/he is shown otherwise is quite bothersome.

I did not have that honor to meet many gifted people, I can spot some on this forum. Sometimes, this is hard because some people do not want to expose their gifts. I do not necessarily prefer challenging myself up to new things due to very troubling personal issues, but I believe that I can learn most things that have nothing to do with my previous knowledge if I try hard enough. I am also open-minded toward concepts that official science and mindset would avoid or discard. I would passionately discuss topic that interests me, but I would consider whether interests another party as well (in a face to face discussion). I am good in many things meaning having interests that one would not consider that they go together, but I am not by any means expert in them.

I think that is true: "However, I believe sometimes we feel useless because we just haven’t discovered where our talent(s) rest" I did not discover a career where I can prove myself yet, and it is very discouraging.
