    Positive or negative?

    ~Dear INFP~

do you go for positive or negative emotions? I think, personally I am going for positive but I am still on the negative side. When I see what I am doing I am not happy with it, and still I am doing it. I don't go after my idealisms, I don't work for a better life as I feel I should be doing, and I don't think about being present happy but about being happy in the future. It eats my energy and stresses me out every day.

Negative, also this part of your post struck me "I don't work for a better life as I feel I should be doing" im completly happy with my life at the moment except for the fact i haven't found my soul mate, i dont want to work towards a better life BECAUSE i dont want a "better" life, if i found my soul mate i would be happy to live my life as is for eternity with them.

Also just to avoid confusion by my life as it is i mean if i just left school and lived my days in my room and in my house like i do day-to-day during the summer, just watching videos, reading ect, most of it on the comp.

I don't think about being present happy but about being happy in the future

I use to spend the majority of my life living in the past or the future. I realized that Both the past and the future are both constructs of my mind and thus don't really exist.

The only REAL aspect of time is the present. That's it. There is no future or past other than in your mind. Really think about that statement.

Time is a learned behavior, unnatural to this world. Created by humans so they can plan and reminisce.

If you want happiness in your future, you have to create happiness in your present. Spend your time improving your present and the future takes care of itself. Don't think in terms of time.

If you focus on Future happiness, it will never occur except by chance, this is because all of your thoughts and actions are about creating happiness in the future, but I just told you, the future only exist in your mind, so how can it manifest?

The present is where things actually occur. The present is where thoughts turn to action. The present is what gets things done. just my 2 cents

I go for positive emotions. If there's a negative emotion, I don't shove it away -- I find the root of it. Then I assess whether or not it matters. Usually it doesn't, and letting go is a wonderful thing :) If it DOES matter (something that will continue to effect me, like a bad relationship or a family problem), then I attempt the C word

    (confrontation!!!)
