Oh! I was just wondering where some of the sticky threads went! Thank you.

Thanks, I hated always having to scroll past all of the sticky threads to get to the recent threads. Why not just move the sticky threads below the normal threads on the page? That would seem to work best.

This was a great Idea :)

Thanks for the effort, timeless. Now it looks tidy and more recent non-stickied threads! :D

Thanks x 100000. I like the suggestions made and hope we can keep the conversation going (i'm an info architecture geek!) but this is a GREAT compromise that gives us all a little bit of what we want in the short run.

    Thank you so much.
The amount of stickies in this area made me so angry... I'm a minimalist in that way..

WARNING! Socionics INFP is the MBTI INFJ

Socionics Description: The Best INFP Guide Ever Written <---this is an INFJ description. Read the functions in the thread. Starts with Ni saying first function. INFP first function is Fi.

FWIW i think the videos/vlogs thread would be a good candidate for unstickying. More to the point, though, i made that determination based on no post in the last 4 days. Since recent posts bump a thread to the top anyway, it seems pretty pointless to go designating these 8 threads as the ones worthy of special attention. The exception would be some sort of FAQ or policy thread where there isn't a lot of activity, but everyone needs to see it.

I don't get why videos/vlogs (or art and photography, or "You know you're an INFP when...", etc.) are inherently* any more important than any other thread. If people like the thread they bump it to the top. I don't understand the rationale for 90% of this. Please help!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm not yet asserting that this threads shouldn't be stickied. I'm saying, I don't even understand the rationale enough to have a big-picture opinion of whether they should or shouldn't. The only "policy" i can see is, "If a thread is kinda popular, make it a sticky."

    -----
*Inherently is the key. A FAQ is inherently more important than the posting traffic it gets. A statement of policy, "Read this before you post," is inherently more important. Some huge news like a forum regular having serious health problems might be deemed inherently more important. Just the fact that lots of people like to post on a thread does not make it inherently more important.
