    What are your dreams?

Ever since I was a child, I've dreamed of living in a secluded cottage, falling in love with a beautiful person--personality-wise, of course-- and climbing up a really tall tree.

I never really got to climb a tree before, mostly because my parents would never let me. That, and I hate bugs.... I have yet to find a tree without intense-looking bugs...

Yea, I have really simple dreams, but even the simplest of dreams can be really hard to get.

    What about you guys?

My dream is just to be happy, I want to change the world for the better.

I just want to be able to help people, to make a difference to their lives. Just being able to do that brings me happiness.

To lead a happy life, and make others happy, even if its only for 5 minutes.
To love someone fully and truly.
To do a job I enjoy, and feel I'm making a difference by doing it.

    So true.
Agreed. Growing up, I also wanted to make the world a better place. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I'm gonna make it happen one way or another. (:

    I suppose my dreams are
-To make the world a better place but helping people.
-To be with a women who shares my values and who I too can relate on a higher level.
-To live an awesome life full of interesting people and places.

I dream of travelling from Canada to Argentina by motorcycle, slowly, just going where ever the wind takes me along the way. And discovering some special place where I could go back to and just disappear from my own society for a few more years before resurfacing, coming back to visit my family. Somewhere where I could contribute my own skills as a programmer knowledgeable of world affairs to somehow join the struggle for social justice or something. To take that knowledge and passion and do something revolutionary with it, like Julian Assange did. And to fall in love with a nice señorita who is just as passionate about the cause as I am.

To be a rockstar and destroy conservatism. I'd be content with one of the two, though.

To invent something revolutionary or life changing.
To surgically attach wings to a pig.
    To become a famous surrealist.
To clone myself and preserve my replicated brain in ice for future civilisations to resurrect.
To emigrate to another country (preferably the US) never to return to the UK again.

    To find her...

    Not necessarily in that order.

to live in a wooded countryside area
to design and build (or have built) my own home - either a castle-looking cottage, or a tree house
    to move to Scotland
    to wite fantasy novels
to be a stay at home mom and homeschool my children
    to have a beautifull marriage

I dream of a life where a woman isn't expected to have a carreer outside the home, where my natural abilities for caring for and comforting people and for making fine craftwork would be seen as assets, not side hobbies or hindrances. Where I could devote my life to people I love and be provided for materially by my family. Yes, I dream of 'the good old days' which I know weren't completely perfect, or even easy, but I feel they would have been easier for me personally. I would much rather scrub floors and work in the garden and cook meals for people I know and care about in my own home, rather than applying for jobs for people I don't know out there in the world, or trying to get money some way or another by doing things for other people I don't care about, rather than just doing things for people I do care about.

less realistically speaking - but more fervently desired:
to actually be an elf or fairy from some other fantasy styled world covered in ancient forrests and populated by unicorns and elves and wizards and the like, and to have someone from there come and find me and bring me back there.
    refugee thanked this post.
