"So we turn back through the forest, walk among trees with long blue needles.
It’s silent here, like the silence when the hawk nears.
These are woods that forgive everything but forget nothing."

You cannot love anyone else until you love yourself - this has always freaked me out.. It's like saying if you have self-esteem problems you can't appreciate anyone else's individuality. I feel like it should be oriented towards a more specific truth, like not feeling lovable.
“I love people. Everybody. I love them, I think, as a stamp collector loves his collection. Every story, every incident, every bit of conversation is raw material for me. My love's not impersonal yet not wholly subjective either. I would like to be everyone, a cripple, a dying man, a whore, and then come back to write about my thoughts, my emotions, as that person." - Sylvia Plath
Put my eyes out: I can see you
Slam my ears shut: I can hear you
And without feet I can still walk to you
And without a mouth I can still beseech you.
Break off my arms: I will grasp you
With my heart as with a hand
Tear out my heart: and my brain will beat
And if you throw a torch in my brain
I will bear you on my blood
(Rainer Maria Rilke Love Letter to Lou Andreas-Salome)
“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”
"Yolo" -Drake
Naa, I am kidding, it would be...
"Happiness only real when shared" -Christopher McCandleless
as well as...
"Carpe Diem" -Horace
I find myself repeating this over and over again to myself, especially at work. It's so addicting. I guess it's because it's the way Anthony Hopkins says it, so raw and unhinged.
"He was insubordinate. Cowardly and insubordinate. He frightened the men, I did not put that fear there, he did. So he will be lashed and we will go around the horn...Are you frightened to go around the horn Mr. Christian, are you a coward too sir?" -Captain Bligh from The Bounty
"Hell is other people." - Jean-Paul Sartre
From Moulin Rouge:
The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
From X-Men 2:
Nightcrawler: "You know, outside the circus, most people were afraid of me. But I didn't hate them. I pitied them. Do you know why? Because most people will never know anything beyond what they see with their own two eyes."
Storm: "Well, I gave up on pity a long time ago."
Nightcrawler: "Someone so beautiful should not be so angry."
Storm: "Sometimes anger can help you survive."
Nightcrawler: "So can faith."
