    What irritates the INFP?

Behold, my attempt to create a successful thread.

From what I've gathered, we INFPs are a generally peaceful species...except for when our personal values are threatened...

...so this sparked my curiosity to discover what else ticks us off more so than it would any other type? What irritates the crap out of you? How often do you find your personal values threatened and how does it affect your daily life? What makes you want to scream your dreamy head off in an idealistic whirlpool of rage? List your top 3 things! Or go nuts. Whatever works for you...

I could list three of my values.

I really get evil if someone "wrongs" me. Mostly, it's all talk because I don't really want to hurt someone, but I want to teach them a lesson. I can roll over and take it with the best of them, but watch out when I snap.

Having no manners or being rude upsets me more than anything. I was carrying bags of groceries from my car in my parking garage to my place and I had to ride an elevator. Despite my hands being full, I still pushed the button and asked what floor the other two men were going to. At the ground floor, there is a door. I let the other two go first and I followed. The first man opened the door and walked out, the middle one slid right behind him without touching the door, allowing it to close before I could get to it. I opened it and shouted loudly and sarcastically said, "thank you." I'm still annoyed. That was about 30 minutes ago.

I don't like when someone expects something because of their status, class, race, sex, etc. I don't care about your car, how much or little money you have, who you know, or any of that status stuff if you are a jerk. Now, if you are respectful and you just want to share a good story or be generous, I will give you my full attention and thank you. I judge people on a case by case basis, none of those things are factors for how I will like someone. People with senses of entitlement cannot be taught a lesson, from what I have learned. They simply think they are a victim if they don't get what they want.

I get mad when I feel I am being let down. I have a very close INTP friend, but I have not talked to him in a month. I tried to reach him for almost two weeks in January to discuss something very specific. He would text me back telling me he was busy and I would let him know I had something to talk about. I finally tracked him down for a brief conversation, but he has not called me in over a month. I am furious. It's not difficult to call and talk for five minutes, and he will be getting a piece of my mind when he finally does call. I am sick of trying to reach him.

There are the first three things that come to mind. This got me all worked up! I'd like to share a nice story to cheer me up. I like when strangers are kind and friendly. I was at the grocery store and I came around a corner to go in an aisle. Another person was about to come out of the aisle. We played the little game of, "You go," "No, you," a couple times before I went ahead. We laughed at how silly, but polite we were being, and he said, "Hey, have a great afternoon." I asked him to do the same. He ended up at the checkout leaving as I was getting there and we repeated the sentiment. It's just nice to have a random positive interaction with a stranger. I wish everyone was like that old man.

there are few things that irritate me but I am usually pretty peaceful person. I will name the ones on the top of my mind. I think I have talked about some of those in the venting thread.

    Racism!
    Homophobia!
People talking bad about people or things that I really like or are close to my heart or judge it/them even if they don't know anything about it/them.
Overuse of stereotypes. - Like gingers having no souls. What the F*** is up with that.

These things happen quite often in my life... or some of them. I most of the time speak against it or just try to ignore it and move on... even if it is hard. I get very pissed of and I get very non logical sometimes. Like as an example: people who say faq or this is so gay all the time I will usually respond with and what is wrong with being gay you narrow minded people. Guess what! NOTHING or something like that. I really can't stand it.

It takes a lot to make me angry! I can't really remember when I got last angry... I am usually just annoyed. But these things that I mentioned before really make me irritated and annoyed. I can't stand it. Some people say that I have prejudice for people who are prejudiced - this is very weirdly phrased.

Not being able to communicate a thought clearly. Those days that just don't go right. Not remembering important things. Making the same mistake more than once. Signs with letters missing. Data, facts...um...hearing at long lengths about topics I have no interest in. Being misunderstood or being understood, but manipulated or used.

Critical/judgmental people, people who talk too much, hypocrites, liars, manipulators, those with huge egos and shallow people as well. Also, can't stand it when others think that I'm snobby, or that I'm weird or shy simply because I don't talk a lot around them. Sometimes the reason I don't talk is simply b/c I don't feel like talking!

So many things. I don't think I could write them all.

Perhaps the main thing is that I believe there are solutions to the problems of the world, but these solutions are suppressed and ridiculed, as they pose a threat to the establishment, and most people simply parrot what they've been told.
