So I've noticed that as INFPs we tend to be a bit negative, and especially put ourselves down. So I've decided to create a happy thread! Post something good that has happened to you today, a week ago, 3 years ago - whenever. It can be something really huge, like you just got married, or something that may seem insignificant, like you found an old picture that made you smile. It can also just be about anything that makes you happy in general. I hope this thread can bring everyone's spirits up!

Here's my post: Today I got an email about volunteering as a Latin teacher in South Carolina over the summer, which I am really excited about. I have an unhealthy love for all things classics, and I love working with kids so this is perfect for me. It will also hopefully cure my restlessness from staying in one place for too long!

Bring on the happiness, everyone!

Prepare for posts bemoaning how shallow this thread is and yearning for ye olden days, when PerC was such a more meaningful experience (all co-rumination, all the time).

Me, I went sledding today. I live in Alabama, so it's kind of a big deal.

Signed up for volunteer work with foster children. All it encompasses is being a mentor of sorts, but also taking them out to various activities (sporting events, theater, etc). The importance of this is the tremendous potential these children have, but they just need to be given a chance to succeed. In the future, adopting children was one thing I intended to look into, but I'm also interested in minimizing juvenile delinquency.

While I consider myself a bit of a nomad, I notice that when I talk to people about the things I'm doing, they often always want to jump on with me. So, it's like travelling in a wolf pack of sorts. People care, it's just a matter of knowing what they need to do and how they can do it.

Last year my ex challenged our custody agreement to change it from joint to him having primary custody of our 4 children, he won. I was a stay at home mom for 13 years... use to tending to their every need... since that has happened I have had a very difficult time finding a purpose to suit my values... I feel lost 99.9% of the time. Thank you for your post. As a child I was in the foster care system... it seems looking into doing something like this would be a great way for me to serve.

Even though I've been on this forum awhile now, I'm extremely happy to have found PerC! Finding people with similar values, or even just a similar personality is a HUGE boost to my self esteem. By far best website and most interesting people and topics. Another happy thing is that I'm taking care of eight adorable puppies!

I can't stop smelling the pages. That made me happy.
Ha ha ha ha ha....
You do that, too?! I'm so delighted...I thought I was just weird that way. I smell everything, from food to people to dogs to paper (like book pages), even disgusting things. People so often tell me either something like "Stop smelling stuff, would you?!" or "You have such an amazing sense of smell!" It cracks me up.

Life imitates art. Friendship is still an art I'm trying to figure out, even though the painting involved gets smoother through time. Experiences make art more meaningful. Is art the reason for experience to be meaningful or art just reflects a piece of shared experience? I think it depends. Art can be the reason, or life can be what makes art artistic to a number of people.

Regardless, I hope through time, the art of friendships make every other art in life magnified in their amazement.

Point : Friendship has contributed to happiness in my life lol

I'm happy there's a happy thread! It's nice to get away from the "doom and gloom" threads that pop up all over. And here's another thumbs up for snow. I'm going outside for a walk in it soon. I don't care if it's 1am.
